I recently started Season 2 of Battlestar Galactica on DVDs, and am looking to buy Seasons 3 and 4. I've noticed that some places sell Seasons 3.5 and 4.5. Does anyone know what these are? Is it the regular episodes with more extras, or are there extra episodes?

I'm trying to figure out which to buy, but haven't found any guidance online. I'm also reluctant to dig too deeply for fear of uncovering spoilers. Thanks for any guidance.

Pretty sure 3.5 is the "second part" of season 3 - ditto 4.5 for 4. Rather than make them separate seasons, they were just really long seasons with a long break in the middle.

So...eventually you'll need to see 3.5, but after you see 3, and don't watch 4 until you've seen 3.5.

Actually, Wikipedia's spoiler free list shows a 2.5 but not a 3.5. Here, this might make more sense:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Battlestar_Galactica_%282004_TV_series%29_episodes#Series_overview

Or, just buy it through Amazon through us -
Season 2.5 is under $10 used! (The W at Amazon)
Season 3 is a bit over $10
Season 4.0 is about $16 used
Season 4.5 is about $17 used
Finally, The Plan is easily available under $5.

Buy them all. Probably the best done SciFi series on TV. Loved Star Trek, SNG, DS9 and even the Stargate series but Battlestar Galactica was incredible.

Seasons 2 and 4 are split into separate DVD volumes. Those two season had breaks in the middle, with Season 4's being about 6 months. Season 3 aired straight through, and was released as one DVD set.

If you're watching Season 2 on DVD, make sure you know where you are before moving on to Season 3. The Season 2 mid-season finale (last ep on Season 2.0 box set) was "Pegasus" and the actual season finale (last ep on Season 2.5 box set) was "Lay Down Your Burdens, Pt. 2."

Be thankful you don't have to suffer through the breaks like those who watched the eps as they aired did.

More power to you if you want to own the entire series on DVD, but if you have Netflix, every episode of Battlestar Galactica is available for Instant Streaming as well.

That's how I've been learnin' about them. I believe all the mini-movies or other non-main series stuff is on streaming too. If not, it's available through Netflix on discs.

There are giant box sets of BSG available both in DVD and Blu-Ray.

(I assume can CRZ can insert Amazon links if so desired.)

Great cartoon from College Humor ... if there was a BSG Nintendo game...

(many spoilers)

Yeah, but they'd be much more expensive than piecing together what he still needed buying used from the links I previously put up. (Over $100)

true. I was more pointing out for others reading the thread that you can get the whole series in one fell swoop (albeit an expensive one).

Thanks for the help. Ordered it through The W link to Amazon. Now, any thoughts on whether Razor is worth watching, since I'm plowing through them all in short order on DVD?

I still haven't finished Razor on Netflix Instant.

I guess it's cool to still have a little bit of BSG left to watch, so I'll always tease myself with watching it every now and then. Did feel a little too unnecessary.

Is rent, not buy, an option for that?
