As a Dodger fan, I've gone from very little to be excited about to a LOT to be excited about. First Frank agrees to sell, now this.
This move was an absolute must for this offseason (They still have three years to lock up Kershaw.) and I am utterly shocked they got it done. And yes, $160 million is a TON of money, but it's likely a steal compared to what he'd get on the open market.
Sure, there's a lot left to fix with this team, but for the moment, there's something to celebrate. Promote this thread! | | It's False

It's also surprising to see him make such a move before the team is sold. Just goes to show that he's happy to have a new owner...ANY new owner. | supersalvadoran

It's interesting because from what I've read recently about the Dodgers is that they can resign their players but they really can't add new free agents to their team until the sale is final. So it makes sense they would do all they can to keep Kemp as it probably will be their only big signing this offseason and they likely won't be able to get guys like Fielder until next season.
It's good that they kept Kemp and seeing how they improved a lot towards the end of the season, I think the Dodgers might be in much better shape than a lot of people may assume. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
