Tomas Alfredson's adaptation of the classic John le Carré novel has had its release in the US pushed back until December, in order to keep it fresh for Oscar contention.

Over here in the UK, though, it's released tomorrow.

Critics have been quite keen on it, but general reaction to preview screenings seems to be less so. I think this has a lot of do with it being such a throwback. It's definitely a fantastic film, but fans of high-octane modern spy thrillers will obviously be disappointed.

I've written up a spoiler-free review over at my film blog if anyone's interested in having a read--> http://wp.me/p1LZHn-4W

I am looking forward to this script to the cast and my love the original with Alec Guiness.
