You couldn't have written a better scenario if you tried. First, Tiger Woods fires his long-time caddie Steve Williams a couple of weeks ago. A clearly upset Williams ("I stood by him for two years when nobody else would") became the full-time caddie for Adam Scott.
This week, Tiger makes his return to the course at the Bridgestone Invitational. He has a middling finish, never looking particularly good. Meanwhile, Scott WINS THE TOURNAMENT with Williams on the bag. Stevie, post-round, says that this win meant more to him than any other in his career....which of course counts his umpteen victories caddying for Tiger.
Clearly, we need to see Tiger and Scott paired together at the PGA Championship next week.

The battle is more "Who can be the biggest jerk?"
It's obvious that Williams is bitter about how things ended with Tiger (and possibly rightly so), but his comments yesterday:
a)Made him look like a spurned 14-year-old girl; b)Completely disrespected Adam Scott by not mentioning him at all and pushing him out of the limelight; c)Disrespected other golfers he's caddied for, including Greg Norman and Raymond Floyd.
Of course, it can be argued that CBS should not have given him that forum at the end of the round.
If Tiger was smart, he'd take the high road, but I see him getting even more obstinate.
