The Good

-Falling Skies' premiere was annoying and cheesy as all hell, but it's grown on me a lot since then. I'm more interested in the mythology and mystery of the Mechs and Skitters than I am in this particular story of human survival. I can't take Noah Wyle seriously as a lead...you're a history professor, we GET it. Steven Weber, though, makes anything a win.

-Speaking of former Wings castmembers, Rebecca Schull has a role in USA's Suits, a show I'm suprised I like. A lot. A pretty ridiculous premise, but the two leads have mad chemistry together.

-Wilfred has moments of dry brilliance. I spend way too much time trying to understand how Wilfred does things. I understand how Elijah Wood's wallet ends up outside Ethan Suplee's window, because a dog would actually do that, but I can't understand how the guy attacking Elijah gets knocked unconscious. As I said, I think about it too much.

-I watch True Blood because my gf does, and because I keep hoping to see GoT instead. I want to call this "bad" but I'm intrigued by the coven storyline. But you can keep Jason and the panther shit.

-Nothing needs to be said about Futurama. All winners so far.

The Ugly

-I swore off Jon Benjamin Has A Van, but then I flipped it on for a second last week and ended up watching the whole were-Jew bit.

Still need to catch up on Alphas and Curb Your Enthusiasm. And no Damages for me. :-(

Jon Benjamin HAV should be so much better. I read an interview with JoBen where he said the show-long arcs were something they added after most of the show had already been pitched and written. Which is too bad since it's routinely the worst part. A half-hour of the newsy skits would be far superior.

Also it's kind of jarring to go back to schlumpy ol' Jon after associating his voice so much with the debonair Archer.

Curb was good, natch, but the show becoming an infomercial for how divorce is awesome ever since Larry got shoot divorced has been a little uncomfortable, like reading someone else's e-mail.

Childrens Hospital is my favorite show going. It airs on Thursdays with Louie, so Thursdays are still the place to be for LOLs.

Last week's episode with Fry becoming a cop is my absolute favorite episode of the new run so far. I'm actually pretty disappointed in myself for not starting a thread, because that episode was so, SO great! Bender's running gag of spraying whipped cream, the Minority Report references, the opening Paperboy reference with Fry getting run over by the bus (his annoyed grunt gets me every time!), and Fry shooting Bender were ALL brilliant!

I'm incredibly disappointed with this show. Granted, it didn't look like it'd set the world on fire, but Jon Benjamin was on such a roll that it's tough to see him come out with a clunker. And to think that Funny or Die is actually putting their name on this schlock.

I've tried to give Falling Skies a chance, but I just don't like it. I feel like it's the third season of a show I've never heard of and I'm coming in too late to get into it. I'd rather see the aliens invade earth and blow shit up than all the good parts having already happened everyone is retreating from them. If all the good shit already happened, why watch the aftermath?

White Collar has become a favorite to watch. It's nice to have a crime show where there isn't a dead body in every episode. The characters are very likeable.

Now that you mention it, in addition to the cast being so likeable, I think that's my other favorite part of White Collar. I mean, even Psych, which is essentially a comedy has dead bodies in it everyweek.

I'm not sure anyone can watch Curb and think "wow, Larry's life is so much improved since he and Cheryl split up." The scene from last week with Larry and Marty Funkhouser talking about how they enjoy being divorced is belied by the fact that Larry and Marty are idiots, and everything they say requires a big grain of salt.

You're dead on about Childrens' Hospital, though. That show is hilarious.

I know it's a spring show that rolls into the summer, but I have loved IN PLAIN SIGHT since it came on the air. This season has been great with Mary being pregnant and Marshal having a girlfriend. I don't know anybody else who watches the show though.

I have the same thing, but that makes it fun.

But even better than that are when Wilfred does kinda-douchy things (like rub up against his lady-owner) and gives a very dirty look, but it makes sense for a dog to do that type of thing.

I wasn't so sure about the show after the first episode, but 2 & 3 really convinced me that it's a fun show.

The worst: Bachelorette. What a crock of trash.
