Ok, this is just silly. Like someone would just "let" you blast them or what ever.

First off, Pro-Wrestling is just fighting stuntwork. It is not a real fight. Damage and who goes over who is all pre-determined. Moves are sold depending on how much damage the booker says they do.

This thread is almost becoming a "if it was a REAL fight, this and this would happen..."

Well, if we want to go there, well, reality check. If WWE was real fighting it would be pretty much a mixed martial arts tourney. In mixed martial arts, size matters little. Look at recent guys like Royce Gracie. Small guy...Kicked everyone's ass. Many, many "smaller guys" beat the ever living snot out of bigger guys. It's things like technique, form, leverage, and intelligence than things like size and strength (even though those things do factor in a bit).

The only time that size matter (weight divisions) are when everyone fights a uniform style (boxing, greco, etc). Becasue as far as technique is concerned, everyone is too similar to put someone in the ring with the obvious size advantage.

Need another example of a small guy who could beat any big guy? Two words, Bruce Lee. Smaller than Rey (more like Spike size), but was probably the best fighter in recorded history.

So if we are talking in terms of a real fight then size matters little.

But if we want to put this into the context of "wrestling entertainment," well, then things change. The only thing size accounts for in Pro-Wrestling is astethics. Well, if we're talking astethics, then if you're not a "big guy" then make up with the fact that you are faster, more athlethic, and more acrobatic.

You make up "not being as good looking (size)" with "better looking moves."

And on the UFC thing. If you watch UFC, PRIDE, or any other mixed martial arts tourneys, you will see the occasional suplex. It's not common, but has been known to happen. Law of probability, that's all. It's not showing off, it's taking advantage.

Well, here's one thing. An annoying extra on the set of "Enter the Dragon" kept questioning his fighting ability, saying he was only a movie actor and had forgotten how to fight. Bruce ignored him until it began to run through the cast and crew as being factual. To get the focus back on the movie, Bruce finally sparred with the extra, and made him his bitch in no time at all.

Everyone involved with the movie was incredibly impressed, and nobody questioned his ability after that.

Oh gee, where do I start?

First off, he has no recorded losses in a fight (after training). Now it is impossible to record EVERY time he fought. But he did have many, many recorded fight, and well, never lost.

Many of those fights included some of the best fighters in the world.

Here are some facts:

Starts training Kung-Fu at age 13 after getting beat up in a street fight.

At age 18, he beat 3 year boxing champion Gary Elms.

He developed Jeet Kune Do. Many martial experts consider this form to be one of the most effective forms ever.

Developed a technique called "The One Inch Punch." This technique could send a 200 lbs man, practically flying backwards, from hitting the opponent from only one inch from their body.

Many world class martial artists consider Bruce to be the definative martial artist of our time.

Do not be decieved by the movies. In the movies they made him slow down tremendously so audiences can actually see what he was doing.

If you can get some footage of him doing a demonstration, I suggest taking a peek.

The man was amazing.

Saw some sort of bio-show on him a short while ago, that had some footage from Game Of Death in it, with him and Kareem practicing for their fight scene at a more "normal" speed. Very, very impressive stuff.

      Hell yeah!!

That would be a fed that I would pay ten dollars for PPV shows every week.

Heh... I was actually dreaming up a fed of just cruisers, either for reality or fantasy. Partially, of course, because if I was in wrestling, I'd have to be a cruiser (5'9", still under the weight limit despite being a bloated sack of protoplasm). I even had a nifty name: United Cruiserwight Pro Wrestling. I obviously have way too much time on my hands.

I've actually done it in TNM
