Justin Verlander became the second Detroit Tiger to throw two no-hitters earlier this afternoon. This was also the second no-no thrown at SkyDome after David Stewart's for the Oakland A's in 1990.
Verlander faced the minimum number of batters - only one walk prevented a perfecto, but it was taken out in a double play. Promote this thread! | | odessasteps

| #3 Posted on 8.5.11 0056.29 Reposted on: 8.5.18 0056.31 | So, the plan as of Friday was to go to the Jays game on Saturday afternoon with some pals who were in town for a visit. As we're having lunch, however, the girlfriend of one of the friends mentions that she's never been to the Royal Ontario Museum, so we all decide what the hell, we all see a lot of ballgames, let's check out the museum for a change of pace.

If Homer Simpson taught us anything, it's that good things don't end in -eum!
I guess we're well on our way to another season of about five or six no-hitters. And so far none of them have been against the Rays, which is pretty remarkable. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
