Bran is alive! But he remembers nothing and he'll never climb again.

Where were the direwolves this week? I thought Bran's wolf would never leave his side. Maybe it just didn't want to hear the creepy old wet nurse's creepy stories.

They worked very hard to get across the idea that the Night's Watch is a ragtag band of misfits sorely unready to hold back an incursion of the creepy crawlies from the north. They were successful in that regard, but what do they really expect Tyrion to do about it?

New scenes not in the book was Cercei listening to Joffrey's ideas of what he'd do when he's king and shooting down his crazy notion of conquering and holding Winterfell. Also, the scene with Robert getting drunk and yelling at Jaime Lancaster and Jaime and Cercei's tete-a-tete in her chambers. The show is doing a good job keeping the Lannisters in the mix as they're insidious background players, at least in the first half of the book.

Delighted to see Aiden Quinn (Tommy Carcetti from The Wire) as Littlefinger. The dagger that carved up Catelyn's hands when the assassin tried to kill Bran is his, but was won by Tyrion in a bet. Is Tyrion the one who made the call to have Bran killed?

Not a lot of action but quite a bit of intrigue this week, setting up bigger stuff to come.

"war is easier than daughters."

also, not surprised that Tommy Carcetti runs a whorehouse. Probably learned tricks of the trade from being Down The Block, Hun.

Arya is quickly growing on me. I thought she was kinda annoying at first but I can totally see her growing up to be a kickass warrior... or queen.

Joffrey needs to get his comeuppance sooner rather than later. Die brat, you are very stupid.

I'm assuming Cercei and Jaime are making it look like Tyrion was the one who wants Bran dead so he gets killed. Boo!

Its up to you guys to keep me informed now that HBO has cut my feed. Arya has the potential to be one of the best characters on the show.

I can see it going either way with Tyrion. He could be just cleaning up the mess of the other two. He's pretty concerned with keeping order as evidence by last week's smacking around of Joffrey.

Advice to Dothraki women, learn a new position and rule the world!

Who is next to die? I'm thinking Ned's wife is not long for this world.

Right now, I think Arya is already one of the best characters on the show, right up there with Tyrion and the dire wolves.

This is more for fans of the books, because it hasn't been spotlighted quite as much on the show, but I got sent this link on Twitter after I noted George R.R. Martin uses considerable detail describing all the food the characters eat in Westeros.

These guys actually prepare and eat the food in Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire and provide the recipes. I gotta say, some of it looks pretty good. (Honey chicken? Gimme.)

I told my roommate that the actor reminded me of a combination of Ed Norton and the councillor from the Wire; it wasn't until I said it out loud that I realized he *was* the councillor.

I really enjoy this show.

It seems I forgot most of the details of Arya's early storyline(s). Last week I marked out when she got Needle and this week they introduced her dance teacher, who is an awesome character too. Very VERY cool.

The scene with Joffrey and his mother once again showed what an ass he is. It also explained the workings of the kingdom a bit more. How it might be one king, but it's really seven different realms.

Well, they expect the King/Queen to be smart and reasonable people. They probably never get noblemen visiting them, so this is their only chance to get a high ranked person telling the king that they need his help.
