The only title change I've ever been in attendance for was Raw in Calgary when Edge & some guy beat Flair/Batista for the tag titles.

Edge was very right when he said despite it all he's pretty lucky for the business, which is pretty sad when you think about it. Can't understand why anyone would criticize this, if *anything* this should've happened sooner. Glad he won't be stuck in a wheelchair.

Bravo to WWE and Edge for listening to the doctor's and not trying to find a loophole to wrestle again.

I will walways remember Edge for his tag team with Christian than anything else. The feuds with the Hardys and Dudleys out the Tag Teams back on the map and made the belts MEAN something. Of course, there would be no TLC matches without Edge.

The 5 second poses, the kazoo humming anthems, the called run-ins, that was the Edge I like best. Rated R Superstar was not in the same league as Tag Team Edge (for me anyway).

Good health to you Edge. I am sure we will see you soon.

I liked psycho Edge too, but tag era Edge was the most fun.

Edge's partner in that match was Chris Benoit.

Someone has told Hogan that Arn retired 14 years ago due to numbness issues? And, as much as I respect the good Rev. Blanchard, has he wrestled in a major promotion in the past 20 years, except for a 1 shot deal in ECW?

The Internet thinks it might have been Bob Holly?

EDIT: The Internet ALSO says Edge did a number of dark matches and talent enhancement as Damon Striker in WCW before he debuted in WWF, which I didn't know until five minutes ago.

The True Story of WrestleMania Blu-Ray has a small feature with Edge talking about facing Taker at WM24. He mentions how he basically lost all feeling in his hands as he walked to the ring, attributing it to the huge adrenaline rush he got over facing the Undertaker. When I watched this a couple weeks ago, I chuckled along with Edge as he kinda jokingly described how he tried to shake feeling back into his hands. When I watched it a couple hours ago, not so much.

For me, there are very few wrestling rivalries that feel real, and that was one of them.

Agreed! I loved that segment, which was on The Cutting Edge.

Edge and John Cena had a rivalry that I truly think was one of the best there's ever been in wrestling. Certainly one of the best I've ever seen, and of the '00s decade.

I think they missed a potential Moment of Awesome or Moment of Heartwarming by not having John Cena shake his hand or hug him on the way out. All the other guys competing in RAW's main event were there, except Cena.

Because Cena hugged him, on camera, *before* the public announcement.

*blink, blink* I didn't remember that. But reading the recap, apparently it happened. Cool.

I know that for most people the first matches they think about with Edge are the TLC matches but with Benoit no longer being mentioned on WWE programming and Angle playing for the other team the entire Smackdown Six era has been swept under the rug. I'll take any of those tag matches over the TLC matches.

My two favorite matches of Edge's were the Edge/Mysterio vs. Benoit/Angle two out of three falls match and the Street Fight with Eddie (that might have been before they were being called the Smackdown Six). Also as far as the Hardyz/Dudleyz matches go I actually prefer the triangle ladder match at WM 2000 over the TLC matches.

I don't know how I feel about Edge as color commentator. I'd be all for him giving it a shot but I'm not as convinced as others that he'll be good. Most wrestlers suck when they try commentary. Foley seemed like a better fit for commentary and just about everyone was convinced Foley would be awesome. He wasn't.

In Foley's defense, it can't be easy to get your point across and be charming when you're wearing a headset with Vince McMahon screaming in your ear throughout the show about how you're screwing everything up.

Isn't that one of the main reasons he left the company? Foley could've been great on commentary if Vince would have trusted him enough to let him do his own thing.

Foley was good on commentary and would've only got better, but he decided that the rules of being a commentator shouldn't apply to him because he had also been a wrestler.

The WWE version of the "rules" make it almost impossible to do a decent job of it. Mick decided he wasn't going to deal with that kind of stupid crap and left.

n a side note, I am saddened that Z passed on an opportunity to throw out another THEMONSTERMENG. I did like Damon's thumbs up sign to the crowd, tho.
