It airs tonight on HBO. Thoughts? Will the NCAA investigate now?

I'm waiting to see the full show to get more of the story, but I will say the NCAA already is investigating, so I don't know what you mean there. Just because they let Cam play in the bowl game doesn't mean they were done looking into the matter.

As for this, it really depends on the guys making the accusations. Are they willing to talk to the NCAA? And how many of the infractions can still be acted on(four year deadline I believe).

I hope they do something because it's been common knowledge forever that Auburn boosters pull this crap. I'm sure every school has it to some extent but they've always gone above and beyond there from the stories you hear.

I enjoy Charles Barkley laughing on PTI when asked if he had a problem with Alabama bringing up Auburn's paid players. Auburn is in the spotlight due to being the story of the season with Cam and then winning the title. I highly doubt every program is clean, its all about how much protection you can get from your conference, boosters, TV deals and anyone else with a financial interest in your football program. I am sure the NCAA will come down hard on Auburn if it is a confession and the players aren't from five years ago. Now, that Cam is gone, I think the NCAA would love nothing more to splinter Auburn into a million pieces after covering their ass all season. Yet, the part of me that listens to all the Bama haters on Rivals Radio wants them get away scott free.

Also of note, the players mention LSU, Michigan State and Ohio State.

What a shock. Seriously, when is the NCAA going to drop the not professional stance in the BCS schools and find a way to eliminate this crap?

This isn't the NCAA of 20 or 30 years ago. The death penalty to SMU and killing the SWC hurt the NCAA, the Tarkanian lawsuit hurt the NCAA, and the fragmentation of football TV deals with the demise of the CFA hurt the NCAA. After killing SMU for over a generation, no school will get the death penalty again. If they ever attempted to use the biggest weapon they have at their disposal: You are on probation, you are not on TV, like they could 20 plus years ago, you'd have conferences bailing out of the NCAA. Keep USC, Auburn, LSU and Ohio State off TV for a year. Think CBS and ESPN are going to be happy? You'll see those conferences form an outside body from the NCAA, then they would not have the NCAA Tournament TV contract. Also, was there even a school that was banned from the NCAA basketball tourney this year? 20-30 years ago, UCONN and Tennessee would be sitting on the outside, at the very least.
As for outright paying the players: Title IX will keep that from ever occurring.
