Check it out here.

While I have never been impressed with any "Best of" list, I think this might be the worst. I don't really see how a whole lot of specials and quickly forgotten shows make the worst. To be the worst of all time, I think it should be something that people actually remember, otherwise, how bad could it have been? Unless they blocked it out of their memory, I guess. Regardless, it would seem that the only show on the list that would apply, then, is Barney. While I am not fan of Barney, I thought that bashing it was out of style by now. As my dad pointed out in his review of the Barney movie, kids don't like The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, but they don't make websites about how much they hate it.

Anyway, how many of the shows on the list do you enjoy? I think I saw about 5 that I like.

Like many people, I'm very annoyed that Hogan's Heroes ended up in the Top Ten. Trust me, as someone who actually took a class on sitcoms in graduate school, I can rattle off 50 shows OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD that are worse, including some that I love (F-Troop).

I actually think this list hits most of the highlights. My only big gripe with it would be including shows solely on the basis of "bad taste" (Stern, Green, Springer, Baywatch, Hogan's Heroes too at least according to the article). I also think Celebrity Boxing and Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire weren't really "shows", but specials.

That said, if you trimmed those half-dozen or so off the list and put in more stuff like "We Got It Made", "Small Wonder", and "South of Sunset" (not to mention "The Magic Johnson Hour"), then the resulting list would be GOLD. I'm looking forward now to the issue and finding out what some of these shows even were.

A certain totally buffed wrestling promoter should be really thrilled that his brainchild isn't #1 on the list.

I think the XFL trashing is overdone. I doubt that any professional league was a complete success in its' first year. The problem is more that too many hopes were pinned on the XFL, to a degree that even the NFL would have had problems delivering. I believe that Vince could have been able to work out the problems, but with every media outlet telling the world that his league was crap, the fanbase eroded before he could put the fixes in place.

Good point Steph.

Baywatch shouldn't be on the list. One show that should be on the list is Scooby and Scrappy. Scrappy got what he deserved on that Birdman episode a couple of weeks ago.

You could throw almost every Hanna Barbera cartoon on that list. Easily any cartoon after 1972, and especially those movie things they did. The goddam Spruce Goose and whatnot.

I don't get how you put a sport under worse TV show. Hogan's Heroes is not one of the top 50 worse shows of all time.

The scary thing is that I really liked Unhappily Ever After and was my only can't miss WB show since the network existence, Not just because of Nikki Cox & other total uber-hotties on that show, but I thought it was pretty funny in a stupid kind of way. Also liked the added on feature on seeing how close they could get to ripping off Married with Children without getting sued

Well, the people who made "Married With Children" made "Unhappily Ever After", and the latter show was the same thing with an annoying puppet, so I can see it making the list. (I could see the former making the list, too. Have you watched reruns of that show lately? Jeebus, that didn't hold up at all.)

And Jerry Springer is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, an excellent choice for #1.

(And, what's really sad, is that I remember every one of those shows that were on within my lifetime.)

There must've been an unbeliveably huge amount of drug use in the 60's if a show titled "My Mother The Car" got the green-light. You don't even have to watch an episode to know that the show is going to suck.

It's funny how TV Guide bashed quite a few shows based solely on bad taste...

Even though several weeks ago, they had the audacity to name SEINFELD as the #1 show all-time!

To hell with TV Guide. I can list about 100 shows that I enjoyed better than that. Off the top of my head. At 2:30 in the morning. With half of my brain blown out.

""Hogan's Heroes," starring Bob Crane as an American POW outsmarting his Nazi captors (TV Guide apparently found the hit show to be politically incorrect in retrospect)."

Jesus Christ, have these people seen Fawlty Towers recently? I hate how people look back at these stuff and try to judge them by today's PC standards.

well, in tv guides defense, i'm sure a Nazi p.o.w. camp isn't the best place for a sitcom...if it is, then expect to have Trey & Matt [south park guys] start a new show "The Gas Chamber Comedy Hour"

in attack of tv guide, i have never liked seinfeld and never will...just not funny to me, but some of my all time fav. shows are M*A*S*H, Red Dwarf, MP's Flying Circus, & Blackadder...

I have a REALLY dumb question about Married With Children, over a game of Legends of Wrestling yesterday, my friend tried to convince me that the producers of Married watched wrestling and got the family name from King Kong Bundy? Any truth to this?

I used to have the Wacky Races Board Game and Lunch Box - I would kill to have them again now and not for the E-Bay possibilities.

I don't know that for a fact, but KKB was a guest star on the show, FWIW.

I think I remember that episode. Wasn't it the one where Al loses all his money at Vegas and one of the ways he tries to get it back is by wrestling this oversized bearded wrestler named Big Mama? Al got slapped in a Boston Crab if I recall correctly.
