During Tonight's Strikeforce event, Fedor lost in the second round to BigFoot Silva. Silva totally dominated him in the second round, getting the mount, punching his face constantly, when Fedor would roll over, Silva was trying to get the choke, causing Fedor to have to roll over again and eat more punches. At the end of the second round, Fedor's right eye was completely swollen shut and he had horrible bruises all over his face and neck. The doctor stopped the fight and Silva got the TKO win in the first round of the Strikeforce World Grand Prix Tournament.

In his post match interview, Fedor said "maybe it's time to go away" and said that he thanks God for his long career and he thanked his fans for always supporting him. He sounded like a defeated man, just too tired to continue this career.

In the other First Round fight, Andre Arlovski was knocked out in the first round after coming out looking pretty good. His opponent, Sergei Khartonov fought a near perfect fight.

Sad day if Fedor does hang them up, he's been a great fighter and a great sportsman over the years. It's too bad he never got to show his skills in the UFC.

I think Fedor probably wants to retire, but his Mob-1 handlers certainly could put a stop to it.

If Fedor couldn't handle Silva's size or takedown, I have no idea what Fedor's gameplan would have been against Brock outside of "hope to trick him into a submission".

This show ruled.

Forget Fedor, Arlovski is the one who needs to hang it up. That guy would get knocked out by a stiff breeze at this point.

Man, that Arlovski KO was brutal. I hate to see somebody knocked out and lay frozen like that's.

If people can continue to nonsensibly suggest Sting vs Taker at Wrestlemania, I want to start the campaign (tongue in cheek) to have Taker fight a newly-retired Fedor instead.

When Taker's streak continues, Fedor would have to hear jokes that he'd can't even beat a dead guy.

I was at this show in North Jersey, and it was only my second live MMA show. Man was this ever a great show. The first fight was the only fight to go to a decision. This made it a fun night because my first live show ever, Bellator in Philly last year, featured almost every fight going to a decision.

It has come out that the translator for Fedor got some of his words wrong, as it appears that Fedor was much more demonstrative in his statement about retiring. I hope this isn't the case; I hope Fedor moves down to 205.

I have to say that I hated Chad Griggs for beating Bobby Lashley in his last fight, but I turned the corner when he just owned Gian Villante in his fight.
