| #1 Posted on 11.2.11 1437.58 Reposted on: 11.2.18 1439.43 | I decided to give this show a try this season. Part liking Adam Scott after Party Down, part people with good taste talking the show up, part liking KenTremendous before he overindulged himself in every twitter hast tag meme.
This episode was great for the Tammy/Ron montage and Tom being knocked through a bookshelf. (Also, I hate Tom.) I like this show for the loud amusing bits (the cops explaining the situation at the bar) but it's just as fun with the quieter stuff (April's Post It).
Community reaches a higher peak level of hilarity, but this show has been pretty consistently very good for the four episodes I've seen. Promote this thread! | | JustinShapiro

Tammy debuted in a memorable episode last season, you might want to look into it (and all of it!). Refresh my mem, how did you feel about M-Mullally on Party Down? Between this, PD, and Children's Hospital, it's been some real redemptive work for someone I just assumed was a bum based on Will & Grace, | Leroy

P&R has surpassed everything currently on television as my favorite comedy. Whoever thought of putting Ron in corn-rows needs to be given some kind of award. My one complaint about this season so far - we have yet to see Jean-Ralphio.

I thought the corn-rows was the best part, but then he explained what happened to his moustache. Good lord did I laugh. | BigDaddyLoco

| #5 Posted on 11.2.11 1626.31 Reposted on: 11.2.18 1627.53 | I thought this show was a dog when it first started. Leslie reminded to much of Michael Scott, but the over the top Michael Scott that I never enjoyed. Since they toned her down a little and Ron Swanson has become more badass I've found this to be the funnest show to watch. Community has more lol moments, but Parks and Rec has become the crown jewel of Thursday nights.
While we are on the subject as down as I was on Community the first few episodes, it has come back stronger than ever and won me back. The Office really died for me last year, I usually end up using that time now to get things done before the later shows come on. Perfect Couples is growing on me and I don't know if this is going to be a short term thing or not. 30 Rock is still that solid clean up hitter. Outsourced does nothing for me.

I thought she was much better than I was expecting on that show too. It's the roles - the energetic bordering on frantic stage mom felt like it was written for her (it probably was!) Didn't watch much of Will & Grace, but what felt like tremendous overacting there seems channeled better on other shows. Don't think she would work as Tammy every episode, but once a year is perfect.

Thanks for the season 2 recommendations, everyone. Don't have Netflix, but I think if I made a list of everything I should go back and watch, I'd berak down and sign up for streaming already, and this would probably be one of the first things I'd watch. | Moss

I think I would like Aziz the comedian, but the character Tom is definitely the weak link of the show. (Well, Ann brings nothing to the table, but Tom sometimes takes something off the table.) | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
