Oof! Didn't expect to see that. Not that we didn't already know it, but I think between this and Williams possibly wanting out, Utah's window may be closed.

EDIT:

Had to fix that for BDL. Reuniting D-Will with D-Fish sounds like a more palatable idea to me. :)

The talk coming out of this is Williams and Sloan could no longer co-exist. This firing/resignation/whatever was done to keep Williams, though who knows if it'll work.

The team has looked like they have been playing in a fog most of the year. I think it's great that Sloan went 23 years, but maybe it is time for a change. I've heard he can be tough or just down right nasty at times with players.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Utah is not the most attractive city for young NBA players to call home. Not sure if this helps or hurts their cause.

The thought of Utah cleaning house and sending D-Will to the Knicks makes me drool though.

Between this and the news on SI.com that Michael Jordan suited up for the Bobcats (though, it turns out, only in practice), I honest-to-God checked my computer calendar to make sure it wasn't April Fools' Day, even though I know damn well I haven't celebrated my birthday yet this year.

Don't worry, Dolan will bring back Isiah this summer and all will be right in Knickerbocker land again.

The sad thing is I was just talking about this with one of the only other Knicks fan I know earlier today. Hopefully, they just keep replacing parts on Donnie Walsh until he is a total rebuild.

DW is good and all, but is he "get-rid-of-our-hall-of-fame-coach-for-23-years" good? I'm not so sure.
