    Rikishi? Really? sigh.

What can he bring to the table beyond "Lookat the fat guy dance" and "Lookat the fat guy stick his ass in the other guy's face"?

They've got a real lack of established faces, especially on Smackdown. Having him there for a few months and feeding him to some of the young heels wouldn't be a bad idea.

People pointed out already, he would probably get a good pop. Best would be a Rumble appearance, then some interaction with his kids. Perhaps take them under his wing and help them get over. Even if that would include them dancing with him..

At the very least it couldn't hurt to stick him with the Usos, especially if they are willing to make him a heel.

Eh... I think he'd get a mild pop from a few of the older fans. Personally, I'm a little skeptical the youngsters watching the product today would even remember Rikishi. He's been gone from the E for what? Six, seven years now?

I also wonder if grinding his big ass in the faces of opponents would be too risque for the company nowadays.

The kids will have no idea who Rikishi is. He's been gone way too long.

I'd love to know who these kids are you guys are referring to. The same "kids" who chanted "you've still got it!" at Ricky Steamboat? Who was gone from the product as a talent seventeen years before he got those pops?

Erm, you do know it was the adults who started that chant and then the kids followed along, right? Little Timmy in his John Cena t-shirt doesn't know who Ricky Steamboat is... particularly because the WWE never mentioned him on TV prior to that angle and most of the kids wern't even born when he retired. Who could blame them for being clueless about him?

That's cute that you think a bunch of 12 year olds would start a chant that Ricky still "has it" when he "had it" a good 15+ years before they were even born. Most of the current fanbase thinks the Attitude Era is ancient history.

By that same "logic," then the adults who remember Rikishi can break the norm of refusing any sort of communication with the the younger audience and explain to them who he is. Unless there are some big "kid caravans" out there that bring segregated audiences into the shows for their individually-tailored segments and wrestlers.

When does the Rumble prediction thread open up? Somebody somewhere mentioned Ted Dibiase Jr. as a shocking victory, and I think I quite like that idea.

Your unending and uncalled for condescension tells me that you completely missed the point. Here's a hint: when someone puts "kids" in quotes like that, it might just be a sign that he believes there's more to the WWE audience than kids.

sigh... Yes obviously; but they're targeting the current product to the kids, and I'd say kids and young teens make up a majority of the audience by the WWE's own design. When's the last time Ricky Steamboat was a regular active member of the roster, anyway? 1992?

A minority of them might know who he is if their parents tell them (and even of those, most probably wouldn't care anyway) but that's a pretty small minority.

I might remind everyone that this entire philosophical debate over the future usage of Rikishi all started from one random dude's suggestion-guess that Rikishi be in the Royal Rumble.
