Personally I can't see much being done to reign in Corporate America with Bush and Co. in charge. His whole plan has been to relax the laws against big business, and has put more proponets of Big business into all the positions that are supposed to regulate them. What I'm really curious about is the fact that most of the crimes were committed years ago during the Clinton administration. So now with the Republicans in control, I would've thought it would be even easier to do shady bookkeeping without anyone trying to regulate them, but all these scandals keep coming out. Is it just because of the Recession, that's forced all these companies so far in the red that they cannot hide it anymore?
Food for thought, I guess. -Jag Promote this thread! | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
