Ok, so it's not exactly the freshest reference, but sue me, I loved the Monster Mifflin opening.

Speaking of outdated references, it's a Jumanji tale. And dammit, outdated or not, it was still hilarious. "There was a bank error in my favor. And I'm spending it all on Oriental Avenue prostitutes!" Loved all the board game jokes. Easily my favorite short of the night.

I'm unfamiliar with what the second story was supposed to be based off, but either way, it felt like a clunker. Though I did appreciate the Clockwork Orange reference at the end.

And then there's the Twilight spoof at the end. Liked the multiple vehicles driving by (Otto on a segway: "What? Me again?"). Also loved the row of vampires, wrapping up with The Count. "One kiss! Ah, ah, ah! Two kisses! Ah, ah, ah!" The ending was a little abrupt, but it was entertaining nonetheless.

I can take or leave the last two bits, but the Treehouse is highly recommended this year for the opening act.

This movie called Dead Calm from 1989, with Nicole Kidman and Sam Neill as the couple and Billy Zane as the castaway. It's actually really good.

Really?

Wow. I hated it. Got a small chuckle out of the Clockwork Orange bit and a decent size chuckle out of Lisa's advocacy for the plight of Vampire-Americans. And that was it.

I was mildly amused by the first two segments. The Twilight parody, however, was awesome...when they stuck to the source material. As soon as they deviated into the stuff about Edmond being Dracula's son, they lost me.
