| #1 Posted on 29.10.10 2226.13 Reposted on: 29.10.17 2226.23 | The last few shows have been really good, I think, and they keep up the quality Halloween episode tradition. The opening 'is there no limit to what he [Stanley] won't notice?' was great. The costumes were:
-Michael Moore (Kevin) -McGruber (Michael) -Penguin (Angela, 1) -Olive Oil (Pam) -Popeye (Jim, later) -Scranton Strangler (Dwight) -Horrific Monster (Erin) -Lady GaGa (Gabe) -Dracula (or Blackula according to Michael; Darrell) -Judge (Phyllis) -Pregnant Nun (Packer) -Mummy (Creed) -Sexy Nurse (Angela, 2) -Darrell (Michael, 2) -Genghis Khan (Stanley) -Phil Compton (Andy)
Help me out:
-Danny (nothing) -Ryan (80s ?) -Kelley (first ? then ? ) -Ocsar (first ? then 'rational consumer') -Meredith (?)
Winner: Oscar, who ended up wanting the coupon book after spending some time diminishing its value. My vote: Angela (see below) Hottest: Angela. Wow, sexy nurse Angela. Did not see that coming. Runner up: Erin. Freaky mask, same bod. Same hot bod.
Darrell showing some leadership and dropping some hints about long-term plans. Being groomed? Also showed restraint in not knocking Michael out. Nice touch with Jim giving in to the Popeye gig at the end. Also Sweet Pea.

Everything Kevin said was awesome, especially when he started crying because Michael yelled at him. "[Bleep!] you, Gabe!"
"I present to you "the Rational Consumer", as it were."
"Why don't witches wear panties? So they can grip the broom." That has to be the bluest joke I've ever heard on an NBC sitcom. Bill Cosby would lose his shit if he heard that.

You know - sure, this show has lost a few steps, but I still really enjoy it.
Oh, and I was waiting for Gabe to belt out at least ONE verse from Ziggy Stardust. I like this season. A lot.
EDIT: Oh, and when Community starts with the Dean also wearing (nearly) the same Lady Gaga outfit as Gabe and cracking (nearly) the same joke... that's pretty brilliant.

Ryan was definitely Justin Bieber.
Kelly started out as Snooki and switched to Katy Perry.
Stanley was a samurai, not Genghis Khan.
I'm not sure if Oscar was anybody in particular from the 70s.
Meredith was Sookie from True Blood (and Andy was Bill Compton). | Scottyflamingo

I am wondering what direction they are going to explain Michael's departure. Seems like they planted a seed for Darrell to take over, plus Holly is supposed to be back this season as well. I think getting away from building around Michael being an idiot every week and fleshing out everybody else, as they seem to be doing, is the way to go. | Big Bad

| #9 Posted on 30.10.10 1341.00 Reposted on: 30.10.17 1342.26 | They've also planted seeds for Pam or Andy to become the new boss too, so I wonder if this is just the writers having fun with us or if they're covering their own asses by giving several characters a potential 'in' to become regional manager. I guess I'd prefer to see an in-house promotion unless the new boss is really spectacular (i.e. Ricky Gervais somehow), but I'm still of the mind that the series would be better off ending without Carell. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
