Dan Hardy had a helluva entrance and a helluva exit. His karaoke of Bruce Buffer's introduction was fantastic TV and worked up an already insane home crowd. But he didn't last the first round after a KO similar to Rashad Evans's blast on Chuck Lidell. Hardy and Carlos Condit went for the same punch at the same time, but Condit landed cleaner and jolted Hardy's head. A few more ended the match, and Condit shocked the audience.
Michael Besping beat Akiyama on points after peppering his opponent for three rounds. Akiyama ate a lot of shots but wouldn't fall. That guy can take a punch.
Mike Pyle locked in a gorgeous triangle-crucifix hold on John Hathaway in the second round but couldn't tap him out. The round ended, saving Hathaway, who was clearly unable to squirm away and barely able to deflect repeated rights to the temple. I'm surprised the ref didn't stop it. Pyle went on to win on points.
Cheick Congo and Travis Browne ended in a draw after Congo lost a point for repeatedly grabbing the shorts to keep Browne against the cage. I honestly hope to avoid a rematch. This was the doldrums.

Akiyama needs to drop down to 170. He's just too small for the middleweight division. I don't think the UFC will cut him since he's a big name in Japan, but I can see Dana 'gently encouraging' Akiyama to go to the lower weight class.
A big LOL at Bisping thinking he's in line for a title fight after his next win. I'm not sure he's even a top 10 middleweight in the UFC.
