So I've been enduring endless tweets about NWA tapings for LA Anaheim's channel 56 and, seeing that they were available online, figured I'd give them a try, and share my results with you.

If you would like to watch it TOGETHER, click on the Vimeo first, and we'll try to sync up with their blip.tv player.

When I taped myself, I saw a 30 second commercial before loading the show. You might get a 15 second commercial, or no commercial - in that case, you'll want to pause the show and let me catch up to you.

Thanks to KDOC, NWA Hollywood, and blip.tv for letting the rest of us outside SoCal watch the show!

Oh man, Channel 56 (KDOC) was awesome. They were the channel on which WCCW's syndicated show aired, as well as the home of Dr. Gene Scott and Wally George (en.wikipedia.org) - both of whom taped their shows at KDOC studios. This was back when I had to tune in the UHF stations manually in order to see the shows.

And I was just having a conversation last night about KTLA's old "Kung Fu Theater" on Sunday evenings.

Edit: And you mention Wally George, so I guess I should have watched before posting. :)

I figured I'd check this out, and watch CRZ's commentary as well. I liked the show, even though I had only ever seen Colt Cabana in WWE during his Scotty Goldman stint, so he was the only one I was familiar with. The presentation was well done, with nice graphics, the camerawork and lighting didn't look amateurish.

Will definately watch the next episode.

Pearce was in excellent promo form.

Glad to see the NWA pulling off a TV show nicely! (Glad to see on commentary that CRZ enjoyed it, too.)

I enjoyed this. I would even go so far as to call it the best wrestling show I have seen all week.

I would watch it again.

Thanks

Finally got a chance to watch this show. It was good fun.
Colt Cabana was hilarious in-ring.

The Sheik Joseph Cabibbo won the NWA North American Championship from El Gran Apolo at an NWA Florida show January 30th, according to wrestling-titles.com.
He most recently held the NWA Florida/Pro Wrestling Fusion (he is also the promoter for PWF) Heavyweight Title from August '09 to May '10, and has basically been the NWA Midwest Heavyweight Championship since October '09, except for a one-night reign by Silas Young in December in a match held in Green Bay that I'm genuinely surprised that The Thrill didn't mention.

Well, then there was also this, which I read after doing my Vimeo:

I am pretty sure the schedule is that new episodes will show up online on Tuesdays. Since watching preseason basketball live takes a higher priority than watching taped wrestling online, expect a Vimeo from me sometime Wednesday night (assuming the episode IS available). Of course, you are also free to watch it WITHOUT me, but where's the fun in THAT?
