| #1 Posted on 1.10.10 0817.15 Reposted on: 1.10.17 0817.37 | I thought this was a really good one. Mainly because I'm a Pam fan (a "Pam Miner"? No, er, no. Won't say that again. So sorry) and thus I got into her crazy plan to promote herself to Office Administrator and successfully bluffing Gabe. I mean, it was a lot to swallow in terms of believability, but I still dug it.
That was also the first move of the season to position a regular cast member as a possible replacement for Michael. Pam actually is my pick to run the whole show since my original pick, Ricky Gervais, seems to be a no go. Pam and Jim haven't had a major storyline since the wedding - and more importantly, there's been no conflict - but I'd have to guess they'd only become more important in Michael's absence.
The day care opening with the Mose sighting kicked ass ("Welcome, children!" "Were you painting in the dark?"). I also liked Dwight trying to Pretty Woman the Precious Heirlooms store, especially Dwight and Andy trying to explain the plot of Pretty Woman.
"Please and thank you go a long way." "Copy. Thank you." "Thank YOU." "Please."
Michael and Toby's counseling was okay, but I'll gladly take a joke like Erin throwing away a disposable camera without developing the pictures or Angela's punch card to have sex with Dwight over psycho-analyzing Michael at this point in the series. Promote this thread! | | kentish
