I watched the entire NBC comedy block of premieres and I thought overall, Community killed everything.

The third act where "Jeff Learns About Respect" and Chang does a riff on Norman Osborne/The Green Goblin was the weakest act but it was preceded by about a million comedic hand grenades. The best of which was pretty much the entire second act blowing through a Jeff/Britta relationship and wedding storyline in the worst manner, complete with the nastiest French kiss makeout between two attractive people I may have ever seen. Not only did they blow through Jeff/Britta as a couple in one act, they did it by simultaneously demolishing the study group before putting it back together. Plus Betty White drank her own pee and sang a Toto song with Abed and Troy at the end.

They're back, baby! Now, we go to school!

Before the episode was the experimental Community "Twittersode" setting up the season 2 premiere.

Jeff, Abed, Troy, Britta, Annie, Shirley, Pierce, Starburns, Dean Pelton, Senior Chang and Annie's Boobs the monkey are all Tweeting between 7pm-8pm Eastern time setting up the first class of the new semester.

And it actually is funny. Read them here:

http://twitter.com/BackoftheHead/greendale

This being Twitter, you have to read from the bottom up, and the Twittersode officially starts with Annie:

@AnnieEdisonGCC OMG I HAVE THE LAZIEST MOST DISORGANIZED INATTENTIVE FRIENDS ON THE PLANET // #NBCCommunity

But there's funny stuff before that even.

I thought he was Gollum/Smeagol? But speaking of Spidey, Troy wearing Spider-Man PJs was a nice nod to Donald Glover's Twitter campaign to be the Webslinger.

loved
this

(but part of me still feels unfulfilled because P&R didn't come on after)

A terrific episode, and it was almost all character-based as opposed to their sweet, sweet jokewriting. I expected them to get out of Jeff/Annie and Jeff/Britta within the first episode but I didn't think they'd do it in such dramatic and spectacular fashion. What a scene that big fight was, like the nasty version of the one last year where they all realize they could be potential sexual partners.

Alison Brie's reactions to J&B's love were worth trillions of dollars, especially the shriek at the proposal.

Love Britta returning to "turning it into a snake" as her gesture of triumph and coolness.

I was skeptical about Chang's efficacy taken out of a position of power, dominance, and fear, but the end was so very promising. (I'm p.sure he was doing Gollum, not Norman Osborne. What were you thinking, John.)

Nice shots at BLEEP My Dad Says -- I guess they're playing nice with The Big Bang Theory for now so its hourmate gets the deflected aggression.

Betty White saying unexpected things for an old does nothing for me.

Spider-Man Underoos. I think superheroes first, Lord of the Rings second (or never). This is the type of nerd I be.

Okay, okay, it was clearly Gollum and I blew it:

@kenjeong Thank you all for the kind comments! Good Smeagol always helps. #Gollumchang #MyPrecious

I'm officially on the bus for Community. I only started watching after the paintball episode from last year after reading about how great the show was. I'm all in.

The angry kissing made me laugh harder than anything I've seen in a long time.

Pierce- "No wonder this guy is saying what I'm thinking."

Great episode, although I wanted to have Jeff/Annie last for a while to see what it would do to the group. To blow it up this quickly saddens me, as we are back to the same old, same old stuff (minus Senor Precious). I still have to give major props to Britta/Gillian. Just a tour de force of acting on many different levels from her in this ep.

The first twenty minutes was one of the funniest ever in tv history (okay, maybe not, but it was damn funny).

I like how they basically said "yeah all that happened, lets move forward" without a bunch of Sam and Dianne type season long BS. Cant wait for the rest of the season.

Loved Shirley asking Abed if he was being meta.

I'm surprised they blew through Annie-Jeff so quickly, but it seems like its the only rational way to go.

That line blew my mind. It was like Shirley was being meta meta. Is there such thing as the fifth wall??

Community topped every comedy on Thurs night, although the only ones that put up any fight were Office & 30 Rock.

Spider-Man underoos was great, as where the "Bleep" My Dad Says jokes that turned out to be right.

This may very well usurp The Office this season as best comedy.

Something just accord to me as I am watching Glee (don't ask). The same actor that plays the principal on Glee plays Abed's father on Community. That puts those last season Glee digs in a whole different light.

Did anyone else notice this?
