Very good Boston crime movie by Ben Affleck, very entertaining, and a real crowd pleaser. My friends and family members who are living in other cities especially love it because it reminds them so much of home, and it shows off Boston (at least Charlestown, the North End, and the Fenway Park area) very well.

I've heard The Town has got Oscar buzz, which I personally think is a little overblown. My big issue with The Town: It's a love letter from the director Ben Affleck to the actor Ben Affleck.

Liked this a lot. Poor man's Heat. The interplay between Affleck and Jeremy Renner was pretty strong and created some genuine tension. Jon Hamm may be my favorite actor in the world right now.

Does Fenway really have vending machines with scratch-off lottery tickets? That's wild.

The big heist was the Cathedral of Boston after a weekend series with the Yankees. Yet, the footage they showed was of the Blue Jays. Huge difference, if you're talking about cash money (well, maybe not, since Fenway sells out all the time anyway, right?)

John was right on with his criticism of the movie being too whitewashy of Affleck's character, especially the 'does he deserve a happy ending?' question. I was also hoping for the movie to end with Rebecca Hall tricking Affleck into being captured and/or killed, since otherwise she comes off as a real sucker.
