We are already in July and I just want to know what is the worst match that you watch so far and why?

I pick Lawler v. Raven. There is no reason for raven to lose in such a bad fashion, why because that was Lawler home town and Mr. Levy was made to be the sacrifical lamb .

Henry/Christian when Christian tapped to the damn bearhug. Bastards.

Uh, I'll say the other was Batista's first match, not necessarily in quality, but because everyone put him over for three moves! 3! Other than that, D-Von was in it, so I guess it was pretty bad!

HHH-Jericho, Mania.

I almost fell asleep during the main event of the biggest show of the year.

Nah, had to be the Bradshaw/Trish vs. Nowinski/Jackie match. Now we see what a difference a year makes in wrestling experience. One of few matches that I want a run-in at the end, particularly from Molly.

Like they have Gurrero, Benoit, Booker, Goldust and The Dudleys appear three times each (which is not so bad), but why no cameo from the Immaculate One?

HHH-Hogan at Backlash.

That match and its outcome said more about where the business is today than anything else out there.

I hope Russo helps Jarrett get his shit together because Vince is going to kill professional wrestling altogether if somebody doesn't wake him up and get him thinking competitive.

Brock/RVD from King of the Ring. With an outside shot to that PPV match where Jericho got the concussion.

I would hazard to guess that Christian Rave vs. Spike Nailz at SWF Renaissance 2002 is the worst single match this year. And the SWF world title is devalued every day Puma doesn't have the belt!

Wait, never mind. I just remembered the damn Jackie match from Raw. That, that is worse.

I've got to go along with the Trish/Bradshaw vs. Jackie/Chris Nowinski (sp?) match from RAW this week. I've only been watching WWF, er, WWE this year, but I can't remember seeing any match this year (or ever, for that matter) with so many blatant screwups, with two of the four participants leaving the match through the crowd mid-match to get the hell away from the Train Wreck from Hell, and with the crowd turning so viciously against all the participants.

And while Trish may have been partly to blame and maybe the "senior wrestler" in the ring takes the blame for such problems, I still have to point my finger squarely at Jackie for the Train Wreck from Hell. This is Trish - the woman had a good match with Stephanie Freakin' McMahon, for Christ's sake! And that was over a year ago, when she was a lot less competent in the ring. Jackie just looked lost.

And I've gotta completely agree with deadbeater. I think that's one of the few matches I've ever seen that I was praying for a run-in.

Damn... I actually missed that match, and my hope (that the WWE would put the "finish" on their site) did not happen. Anyone know where I could find it?

I'll second that - for *this* year (remembering Jake Roberts' Heroes of Wrestling performance from several years ago). Jackie's "wait three seconds, then fall" response to Trish's bulldog was absolutely classic.

Hahahahaha...

Hey yo, Rage... where's Sid when you need him? Remember Sid's so-called streak in WCW where he ran in on match after match, powerbombing everyone to add to his bogus streak? WWE should hire Sid for one purpose only: to run-in on bad matches.

Heh heh, I even remember one match in WCW that was so bad, everyone was chanting, “WE WANT SID!” And if I remember correctly, they got their wish.

HHH v Taker at KOTR was pretty awful. I think there were 3 wrestling moves in the first 10 minutes.

I haven't seen a crowd really boo a shitty perfomance in a long while. The mixed tag match was crap. Just because you can dress the poor girl up like a slut that doesn't make her ready for prime time. Hell, Maven was down in the minors for half a year and Nidia for a year.

Umm that's a tough one. A three minute match which one of the girls was completely lost or a 20 minute match like HHH/Hogan or H/Taker that looked like both guys hit a brick wall at the 5 minute mark. You could make an argument for both.

Usually it takes two to stink up a match like what happened last night. But this is a rare time that ONE person stunk so bad, that her/his opponent has no choice but to go down with the ship... The only match I could think of it being so one sided on fault was WCW's first match on WWF TV with Buff v. Booker, it looked so bad on first viewing and you thought both men sucked. Watching it again you noticed Booker had a spring in his step, Book was ready. It was Buff who was unprepared and needed an oxygen mask at the 90 second mark. I looked at the Trish/Gayda the same way. Trish had a game plan, Trish was running her spots. Gayda was out of position and unprepared.

For example the first missed spot looked like it was meant for Jackie to drop Trish on the top rop or maybe out of the ring. Trish ran, got momentum behind her. And Jackie backed out. Poor Trish had to jump on the ropes (Terri entrance style) just to stop her momentum... Isn't that usually the case, the person who's got the move set up and going to do it and someone backs out the person who was prepared to do the move looks dumb, like poor Trish on the ropes *sigh*

But that wasn't the worst part, it was bad but missed spots happen. What came next was unforgettable. Trish sits on the top rope, pushes jackie off and kicks her, Jackie stumbles, walks around and around and end's up 10 feet away from Trish. Trish sits there patiently for Jackie to back up, seems like the Ref told Jackie to back up so Jackie turns around walked forward towards Trish. Trish repeats the spot by kicking her. Jackie REPEATS almost exactly what she did wrong the first time by making a U-Turn and ending up about 8 feet away from Trish AGAIN! Trish sitting on the ropes for what seems like a eternity with her palms facing upwards with the "what the hell is she doing?" look in her face. Trish went for it and I don't know if Jackie flinched and ducked in the last second, or Trish hit her arm on the back of JAckie's head that pushed her head forward, and Jackie stood there didn't bother selling it, like she didn't even know it was coming.

Jackie will probably have close to the fate of Bagwell, No I don't think they will or should fire her but some minor league time really is a must... Trish on the other hand, I hope the last 4 months of being one of the top 3 most consistent people on the RAw brand isn't forgotten, her stuff with Molly, Jazz, Jaqualine, Ivory and Victoria (which unfortunately last night made everybody forget that great heat match)was great. And still could be considered as most improved WWE star of the year.

Hopefully the Fed sees who was at fault at that match. Like they did with Booker/Buff, and they quickly put Booker in there with DDP and they had a great match. Hopefully Trish is put in there with someone and Trish could erase this memory in her mind and ours. I do wonder if they will place the blame on one of there precious "Tough Enough kids"

I would agree that the Mixed Tag from RAW was horrible.

Regardless, I blame not Trish, not Jackie, but whoever booked that match.

Trish is still one of my current favorites in the ring. She has improved tremendously in the last year. Hell I remember the first time I saw Trish bust out the springboard tornado version of the Sratisfaction. It was a big mark out moment for me. I was like "Holy Shit! Has she been training with Rey?"

Get Jackie to OVW...

The Raw mixed tag was bad, but what about the anything w/ The Johnsons from NWA. Bad stuff=wrestling penises. They work to stiff, no pun intended.

You know, I could only hope Saturn was back and in-ring for that crap so we could get "Saturn Shoots 3". As dumb as it was for him to snap on Mike Bell and beat THAT kids ass, the guy that refused to job to Saturn deserved it. And I think Jackie deserved it. I've never screamed in pain so much over a five minute match. Saturn breaking that girl in and showing her something would've added some levity to her screwing that shit up.
