Damn if we lose CP3, nobody gonna go to the games down here. Looks like another dream team could be forming, possibly in NY.

I would love to watch his dream team of himself, Amare and Melo take on 'the bad guys'. This is why the whole Amare signing as well as Lebron passing on NY can be a good thing. Sooner or later a top player or two is going to want the limelight of playing in NY.

I've been a Knicks fan since the Ewing years. I've been waiting for something like this. I'd buy a Paul jersey.

As a Pacers fan, I'll be the first person to tell you: The Knicks are the bad guys. (The Heat are also the bad guys, now more than ever.)

Between them and the Lakers, some might call it...an NBA Axis of Evil, if you will.

But let's be realistic. There's no chance Paul goes to New York next season, because the Knicks have absolutely nothing to offer. Maybe if they hadn't blown their 2011 AND 2012 first round picks like dopes on the T-Mac deal, they'd be in a better position for a trade. But now they've got zilch to entice New Orleans with, other than the Eddy Curry contract.

That's a big chunk of cap relief, They have a glut of SF/big SG like Azubuike and Chandler and it wouldn't surprise me if the very affordable Gallanari finally became available.

"Those guys want to beat the three guys in Miami," a source close to the situation said. A report Wednesday on CBSSports.com said Paul saw what James did in signing to play alongside Wade and Bosh and has designs on doing something similar.

And after the dust settles, I'm thinking there's one more issue to consider - I wonder what Stern and the owners think of all this. If this 'works', might the other NBA stars feel they also need to unite on other SuperTeams to compete with the Heat? And if superstars start turning down max deals to join attractive teams.. is there a chance that you end up with four SuperTeams, and 26 versions of the Washington Generals?

CP3's new agent, Leon Rose who also represents LBJ. Sounds like LBJ has been advising CP3 through twitter. Yesterday's tweet to CP3 was "Do what's best for you and your family."

stern publicly seems in favor of the NWO Heat.

Presumably, a superteam will equate to boffo ratings during the playoffs, which could be his #1 concern.

Paul is now saying he likes The Magic now as his number one choice, and when it comes down to it the Knicks really can't match Orlando's top offer if they make one.

If CP3 were to have a change of scenery, the Magic would be the more logical choice because Orlando is already a title contender and their team is deep with talent.

CP3 with Jameer Nelson? That would be a good 1-2 guard combo and I would rather keep and have Nelson instead of Vince Carter to start along with Chris Paul.

But since LeBron changed teams, it seems more people are willing to make it known that they want to elsewhere unless their organization builds a title contender around them.

Regardless, the Knicks may be able to offer more cash for CP3's talents, but the Magic are still a far better team and despite the additions of Bosh and James, the Magic are still the ones to beat in the Southeast and will compete with Boston (and now Miami) for who reigns supreme in the Eastern Conference. CP3 to Dwight Howard? The highlights would just keep rolling.

The plan, I believe, is to trade Jameer Nelson AND Vince Carter for Chris Paul. And it might require even more than that. I don't think there's any one player on the Magic roster other than Dwight Howard who would be enough by himself for the Hornets to accept that trade.

Also, Paul and Nelson are both pure point guards. Both are capable of having good shooting games, but they're passers first and foremost. Having them both on your team wouldn't be all that great. You'd basically end up with Paul starting and Nelson coming off the bench as one of the best backup point guards in the league. You're not ever going to see them both on the court at the same time. Both of them are super short (6'0 and 5'11 I think) so there's no way one of them could play the shooting guard position, which is typically reserved for guys 6'4 and taller.

An almost as big sigh of relief from all us Hawks fans. We have a hard enough division as it stands now. Sheesh!
