Don't know if this has been put up yet -- WWF.com "After being examined by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., today, it was determined that Kevin Nash has torn his left quadriceps muscle. Nash will be undergoing surgery today; it is unknown for how long he will be out of action. WWE.com hopes to receive a further update tonight after the surgery"

What a bizarre happening that was. Nash outside the ring for the entire match, finally gets the tag. Comes in to clean house, his first shot was on Booker and then "AHHHHH" and down he goes. Ref signals something everyone jumps in.

Even more bizaare seeing Shawn in the ring cutting a promo on H while Nash is screaming in pain behind him on how strong the NWO is and how Triple H better make the right decision or this will be his future [points to booker] all I thought if Trips was watching and seeing NAsh on the ground holding his leg Trips was looking at his past (about one year)

I don't get why they didn't change the finish right away. I think it's kind of obvious they just gave Big Show Nash's spot in the finish.. but why not let Booker go over cleanly? Would've made him out to be more than the "nWo's bitch" that he's been for the last few weeks.

Sure it's a bad thing to happen to anybody and I wouldn't wish it on the worst wrestler out there, but I did find it morbidly ironic that HBK was talking about HHH "standing tall with the nWo" while Nash was laying on the ground.

i'd been looking forward to seeing Kevin Nash back in the WWE for quite some time. I've always found him to be a really funny man who seems to enjoy the business...

Now, he's gone for a while. After being gone for a while. That sucks.

I think this will spell Triple H joining the nWo, because if their biggest star is gone, then they'll need someone to man the helm, right? Look at the nWo when Hogan left, right? Kind of like a ship without a sail...but in recent memory, wth HBK back, the nWo was something worth maybe looking forward to.

I don't really know who will replace Nash in the nWo when he's in rehab...but all I know is that I hope he gets better soon.

While we are on the topic of this "karma" bullshit...

Before Big Sexy had a chance to "hold him down", a certain "God" was fucking the "Bookerman's" old lady, eventually stealing her for his own. But I'm sure THAT didn't hurt "God's" career as much as the so-called "fingerpoke of doom". For some reason things like that stick in my mind when everyone busts Nash's (or insert "backstage politician" here) balls.

Besides, if there was any such thing as "Instant Karma" it would have been Ringo instead of John.

Best wishes to Kevin Nash...

Nash, like Hogan has done nothing wrong since his return. In fact, it was him that stopped the nWo being seen as a joke. Being a Brit I havent seen Raw yet, but it sounds like it was not his fault, rather than him botching a move or something.

Good luck to him.

I suddenly have no compassion because I am glad that Nash, a piece of shit who has sucked a ton of life out of the business that I love and have been watching since 1993 for years, is on the shelf with an injury?

First off, the guy is just injured. That is all. Nothing more.

Are injuries painful? Of course.

And no, I don't generally wish injuries on wrestlers or anyone.

But injuries are a part of the wrestling business (which wrestlers know full well and yet they still wrestle), and its not like Nash DIED here.

He is still alive, and has made a ton of money in the business, so it's not like he would go broke if he actually took the hint and retired. HE DOESN'T NEED THE WORK, PEOPLE, and if he is not going to bring anything useful to the table that a bunch of other guys on the WWE roster can't do million times better (and don't try to get finishes to matches changed for their friends to boot) then I hope he never recovers from that injury.

Why am I out of line just because I want the guy gone for good?

I don't care what he does outside of the ring, but I am sick of him leaching off the wrestling business and I either want him gone for good or to actually start giving to the business for a change and stop taking and taking and taking.

He doesn't have a rub to give, and if he did, he sure doesn't seem to be giving it very well. In fact, he and the rest of the nWo have done nothing but kill Booker T's heat the longer that feud went on.

Look, if that injury happened to Booker T, I wouldn't be happy about it, because I like and respect Booker T and has done nothing but work hard to make the business better and to entertain the fans. When Triple H got that same injury, he still sucked it up and went in there and helped put Jericho and Benoit over like the finish was planned. So despite whatever negativity I've had for The Game at the time, I thought it sucked that he got injured.

All Nash has done is hurt professional wrestling for years, so unless he dies or something I am not going to start weeping for him and change my opinion about him just because he gets injured. This is not like the Owen Hart situation all over again, guys. I don't care about Kevin Nash's pain and suffering because I don't like Nash.

You can call me an asshole or say I have no compassion or whatever, but I feel how I feel. I am sorry if that makes you hate me or something, but I can't help how I feel.

I find it had to believe that you're Flea, since that is one of the dumbest things I've read here. That had nothing to do with Nash. Besides, there's a big difference between burying someone because they stole your wife and burying everyone you think is a threat to your spot or the spot of your friends.

One will result in a wrestler leaving the company (or four), and the other - as we've seen - leads to the destruction of the company.

I don't think some of you get it. Nash hates to wrestle. He's all but said it in the past (I'm specifically thinking of a recap of a radio interview I read on the Torch about a year and a half ago in the midst of his "Insiders" gimmick with DDP). This isn't the same as HHH, who (despite all the bad things we say about him) loves to wrestle more than anything in the world.
Thus, if you like Kevin Nash, you should be happy for him. He won't have to do something he hates, but will still get paid (better than you or I, who actually DO work). He's in pain now, but I'm sure his buddies in the Clique can suggest a way to help him out with that. If you hate Nash, however, you should be upset. He's going to be happy and well-paid for the next few months.
As for me, I'm torn. I don't like Nash, but not enough to specifically wish harm on him. And I hate to see him wrestle. Thus, I think it's best for him and me, in the long run, that this happened.
Honestly, I think he'd be best used as a color commentator, assuming you could rein in some of those shoot comments. I always thought he was funny, but Lord, he sure does bore me when he's in the ring.

Yes.

Getting sick is a part of life (which all people know full well yet decide to continue living). Let's go laugh at people getting towed into the emergency room. I'm sure some of them are bound to have commited a crime at some point in their lives too, so there's no need to feel sorry for them.

People said the same sort of thing about Hogan, but his attitude seems to have completely changed from his timei n WCW or his first WWF run. You're assuming w/o evidence that the same isn't true for Nash because it gives you an excuse to wet your pants and cry.

Wet my pants and cry? Dude, just what the fuck is your problem? It's not like I am alone in thinking the way I do about Nash's current situation. There are plenty of other people who think he got what he deserved.

Why are you defending Nash? What does he do to make you think he deserves his place on the WWE roster and thus feel sorry that he is out with an injury? Because he is a human being?

Well so are the guys that Nash screwed over with his backstage politics over the years. Didn't those guys deserve to have a fair chance at a career and a fair chance to get over?

Nash sure had no problem ruining some of their careers with his selfishness, so why should I weep for him just because he got injured doing something he isn't good at doing anyway and probably should've stopped doing a long time ago?

I never asked you to be happy about it. I don't care if you're happy about it or not. Feel as sorry for him as you want.

But why are you jumping down my throat just because I am happy about it? It's not like the guy was murdered or something.

Well, as far as being sorry that he got injured, why yes, because he is a human being! What a novel thought. Wrestlers are people too.

Whether he deserves his spot on the roster is a whole different issue entirely. You just can't link anything together and make a strong argument. 'Deserving a place on a roster' and 'feeling sorry because someone got hurt' is two separate thoughts, not a cause/effect relationship.

Look, I am not happy because he's injured and I don't get happy at the thought of injuries,

I am mostly happy that he won't wrestle on RAW and thus ruin my enjoyment of the show. He and his nWo stuff is dragging RAW down for me. If he got suspended or fired, I would've been just as happy because either way, he won't be wrestling.

But why should I feel sorry for someone that I don't like? I don't like Kevin Nash as a wrestler or as a human being, so why should I feel sorry for him on either level? Do you have a habit of feeling sorry for the misfourtunes of people that you don't like?

What's the big deal, he'll have some more time off, time to get into shape (using the HHH program, I assume), and while he's away he'll have the WWE propaganda machine working full time to make him as fondly missed as HGH er... HHH.

When he does come back, it'll be to a huge pop, he'll have his month or two of nostalgic/pity pops and then everyone on this board will be back to hating his rotten guts.

Such is life, it's all a cycle, and shiznit like that.

Personally, it's a painful leg injury. I've had a bad one myself and know it's not only rough going through it, it's a steel-plated bitch to fully recover from in under 4 months. He's looking forward to intense physical therapy, workouts to lose the beergut, and if he's smart, he'll stay away from the roids and get on some sort of diet/supplement/workout program designed specifically to strengthen joints.

He's not someone I particularly care for (or about), and it's not a huge injury, so I don't feel for him the way I felt for Droz, Hayabusa, DDP and others who've been forced into early retirement (and don't get me started on the pain I feel for the families of Owen Hart and all other wrestlers who died from in-ring trauma). He's had a good run, better than he deserved, and if it ends now, he can head back to the mansion with his hot girlfriend and brag about the glory days at the bar.

A fitting end? Some of you cool smarks need to get real once in a while and stop crying. It's backstage wrestling politics. Yeah it seems important when you do all this smark talk, but then again, it's backstage wrestling politics. Some of you base everything in wrestling around all this insider backstage rumor crap.

You want Nash to get injured because he held back some other guy who makes at least half a million dollars and doesn't give a crap about you personally.

      Doesn't make any sense.

      -Rad T

Fact: Nash was head booker for WCW for a while.

Fact: He put himself over the hottest babyface in the company's history, killing his momentum.

I find it amusing and entertaining that while still being a bit tubby, Nash has now had TWO steroid injuries. (Torn bicep, Torn quad).

Hang it up, Kev. Before somebody gives you a chance to have a worse run than your first WWF run.

So what? It doesn't mean a man should "get what's coming to him" OVER WRESTLING STORYLINES. WRESTLING STOYRLINES. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE GLAD HE GOT INJURED BECAUSE OF MESSING UP WRESTLING STORYLINES.

No matter what you want to believe, these people are nuts.

Another function of Nash is that the instant he is there, he revs up the side he is on. He is the perfect manager, so good that referees have to toss him out because he totally imbalances a match in his man's favor. Shawn duplicates what Nash does, but not nearly as well. At least Nash takes bumps during his tenture as an nWo member. Shawn meanwhile is as untouched as Molly (but unlike her, not in a good way).
