I was thinking, "Bubba hit him or something!" He as over there like he was the Red Cross or something. I have no idea what X-Pac was doing. I have to watch it again, but it looked like he was kicking Nash. I am like, "An injury AND a turn in one match!"
Maybe this is a wake up call to Nash to hang it up. If this is serious, there is no need for him to get back in the ring. | TheBucsFan

Unless he was serious about helping get Booker over as a big threat to stay, which I like to believe he was. | Socks

| #17 Posted on 8.7.02 2239.30 Reposted on: 8.7.09 2259.02 | Man, the dude slipped and fell and hurt his knee and people are hating on him? Come on now, no one deserves that kind of luck. Like was said above, I'm sure he busted his ass to come back, he WAS in much better shape than he was when he came in, and this happens to him? It doesn't say anything about Nash's workrate or him being "too old" it was just pure bad luck. That could have happened to any of those guys in the ring. I don't care if you don't like Nash, making fun of him for hurting his knee isn't tight. Hell, if you need a reason to be upset, use this: Booker just lost the one match that people would care about in that feud. Nash would have put him over (well, he would if asked, he has before, whether he would have been asked to is another question...) What is Booker going to do now? Beat X-Pac? Who cares? That guy never wins anything, that's not a big win. Beat Big Show? He's worse than Nash, that match would be awful. Nash-Booker wouldn't be a technical marvel, but it could have been decent, their last match was. Booker-Show or Booker-Pac is either going suck or be a waste of time, respectively. Nash getting hurt sucks, it sucks for him, who clearly busted his ass to come back, and it sucks for Booker, who loses a big match. It just plain sucks. | Blackston

| #18 Posted on 8.7.02 2239.47 Reposted on: 8.7.09 2259.04 | I can't believe all of the people laughing about Nash's misfortune. I mean, for God's sake, it looks like the man is actually hurt quite badly. I don't care how badly the man may wrestle in the ring, or how much backstage politicking the man may do, there is nothing funny about seeing a man go down with an injury (especially if it is taking him away from his livelihood). I would imagine that this very well could be a career ending injury (I really hope not for Nash's sake). At the end of the show, he managed to walk out of the arena with some assistance, so I am hoping for that to be a good sign of sorts... Good luck on your recovery, Mr. Nash. | JayJayDean

| #20 Posted on 8.7.02 2247.19 Reposted on: 8.7.09 2259.12 | I think after all the crap that Nash has put the wrestling world through (putting himself over Goldberg, holding down young WCW talent, the Fingerpoke of Doom, pretty much all of WCW's booking in 1999), this is a fitting end for him. I agree with BobHollySTILLRules, though. Now what do you do with Booker? He's got no big blowoff match. It looks like now the booking team will HAVE to turn Triple H to the nWo just to create any kind of blowoff match that would draw any interest. |
