What gets me is that the WWE awards a "developmental contract" to the kids, but then sticks them on TV right away. What good does *that* do for either the kids or the WWE, as shown last night?
A match like that last night hurts TE3 more than it hurts the Women's division. Weren't we all lauding the Victoria/Trish match from Heat?
Anyway, why do I think Kenny is laughing to himself somewhere over that last night?

I may be wrong, but I remember Trish at least slapping Jackie in the back of the head on the bulldog spot. I think she was trying to grab the back of Jackie's head and slam it into the mat because she couldn't do a good bulldog from that distance.
The problem: Jackie did not fall. She blew it. She knew it was going to be a bulldog and when she felt Trish's hand on the back of her head, she was just lost in space. DUHH WHICH WAY DID SHE GO, GEORGE, WHICH WAY DID SHE GO?
Time in OVW certainly helped Nidia. If you think she is bad now, remember her two Raw appearances with Maven and the APA. It was bad, man. Bad.
I think we won't see Jackie for awhile, but that's a good thing. I want her to improve her mic skills and wrestling ability so the women's divison can be better. | vsp

| #43 Posted on 9.7.02 0936.03 Reposted on: 9.7.09 0942.49 | What happened to Jackie is probably what's happened to almost every performer at one time or another. She had a prepared script in her head, something went wrong, and she became flustered to the point that the rest of the script went WHOOSH! right out of her head. I've done it myself, and so has anyone who's ever been on a stage or in front of a group.
Jackie isn't anywhere near polished enough to know what to do in that situation, so she flailed around trying to figure out what to do next. Trish doesn't have the experience to handle a situation like that, so she followed the original script as best she could, and hilarity ensued.
This isn't necessarily an indictment of either wrestler -- improvisation is a very difficult skill to learn, whether it's in wrestling, in comedy or on the stage. There are a lot of guys who've been in the business longer than Trish and Jackie combined who'd have looked just as lost out there.
There is one obvious question to be asked, of course. If Jackie is blatantly green and needs to be guided through her matches -- which is not at all unreasonable for someone as new as she is -- WHY THE _HELL_ ARE THEY PUTTING HER ON THE _LIVE SHOW_, instead of on Smackdown or Heat or whatever the hell the syndicated show's called these days? On a taped show, if everything goes to hell, they can call a time-out and start the match over. On a live show, they're screwed. | Scott Summets

Blowing spots and being out of position can cause serious injury.
And what gets me is that even guys who have been around for a while occasionally make mistakes (i.e. Owen, Edge, D-Lo). So, if even the Pro's make mistakes that cost people their careers, why throw in a rookie in a match that has moves like "Top Rope Bulldogs?"
Good thing Trish was delivering that move. I fear that if it was anyone with less ring experience, Jackie would be with Big Kev right now. (Get better Kev)
IMO, I think Trish overshot the Bulldog to prevent any serious injury. Jackie was all over the ring, and rarely in position. Imagine if Trish actually caught her head. The way Jackie was working, she very well could have broke her neck.
In hindsight (I know, too late now), while waiting for Jackie to get into position, Trish should have planted a missle drop kick to the top of Jackie's shoulders (just stiff enough to knock her over, without hurting her), pick her up, and do a standard bulldog (no springboard tornado) to get the win. | dskillz

If Kenny and Jake don't suck, hard to tell from the edited clips of TE2, Jarret should definitely snag them for NWA. Right now the TE2 champs don't look like the right choices.. Kenny and Jake couldn't have a worse match than THAT right now, could they?

I can. Well, I think I can... it looked like either:
a) Jackie was supposed to lift the charging Trish on to the ropes, 'hanging her up' or just throwing her over the top rope.
or
b) Trish was supposed to catch Jackie in a headlock, hit the Stratusfaction Bulldog and *then* have Harvard Chris interfere.

Good comment, Brew Guy. Whether Jackie gets kicked off or not, this is the important thing to remember. I say give her another chance on one of the weekend shows to show us more intensity and desire to be in there. If she still looks lost, send her down.

I respectfully disagree.
The Women's Division is at a point where you could switch Victoria -- who's already been up once, went down to work in OVW and is back up -- in, and not miss a step.
Plus, one could argue that with the "horrible" ratings slide that the WWE is in right now, it's in the best interest of the company to put her in either of the farm schools. | DMC

One could also argue that since the ratings are already down that what she did doesn't really matter that much. I say light a fire under her ass and get her going.

Ok I promise to stop defending Jackie after this. The ironic thing about what happened last night is that Jackie's best quality right now (or at least before last night) IS her bumping ability and whatever amount of skill she has to sell. That's probably why she's done nothing but take beatings since she's been around. She was just obviously LOST, NERVOUS, and Trish didn't help the situation much by just spanking her on the back of the head and pinning. Next time hopefully Trish will have the veteran enough quality about her to just pick up a lost opponent and hit a bulldog. (NOT saying any of this was Trish's fault.)
In all, last night COULD have been worse. It just didn't help matters that this all took place in front of a Philly crowd, who have been known to boo grandmothers at baseball games.
