| #22 Posted on 9.7.02 0040.25 Reposted on: 9.7.09 0051.39 | Tough Enough puts the WWE in a nice little Catch 22. They have these people come in with ready-made angles and heat so they should put them on tv and use them, but they aren't ready to and so they should send them to OVW. I recall people complaining about the WWE misusing Maven and how he should have been on tv first instead of training in OVW for a few months, and I can't help but wonder if the WWE didn't take the women since a) its easier for them to skate by (think about the division pre-Fit Finlay/ Jazz v. Trish), and b) if they can't wrestle they can be T&A, so they can be used immediately. Even if Jake was a natural born wrestler, maybe the plan was to sign him normally and send him to OVW without a timetable. Of course, his whining about the finish may have hurt that... At least Maven and Nowinski are developing well... | deadbeater

I'm making a snap judgement here because I haven't seen the show yet, but if it's as bad as the reports make it out to be, there's no excuse. Someone THAT green has NO business on TV. If they can send Mike Awesome and other established WRESTLERS to OVW/HWA, then they can damn sure do the same thing to Jackie. As Deadbeater said, Maven's only been in the business for a year, 18 months tops and he's worked out what's right to do and what hasn't. | NickBockwinkelFan

Trish has had good matches with people not named Molly Holly though. And I refuse to believe that stuff was Trish's fault, she's too good. Even if she didn't touch Jackie on the bulldog, Jackie still should have sold it like, ya know, a bulldog. I don't know what the hell that was. Trish has had better matches than that travesty tonight with Stacy (no workrate) Keibler. Thus, by process of elimination, I've gotta blame Jackie here. | Net Hack Slasher

| #28 Posted on 9.7.02 0154.10 Reposted on: 9.7.09 0159.03 | Had to watch that match again, and after watching closely it was ALL Jackie's fault. She was completely lost.
Last spot. Trish was sitting on the turnbuckle for an eternity. Jackie walked into a kick, got up seemed lost went walking face first again to Trish who repeated the kick. Jackie walked around and then walked AWAY from Trish. Trish is sitting there, like "could you please come back here so I could do this move." And Jackie kept walking away. Trish went what the hell I can't sit here all night so she went for it, and Jackie DUCKED.
Click Hereof photo to back my point...For that move to work smoothly you have to be like an arms length away from your opponent. (when Rick Steiner did his finisher that's how far his opponent were) Trish knew that, that's why she waited and waited for Jackie to back up, but JAckie never did. She walked forward like 10 feet. Boy how pissed did Trish look after the match, she looked like as upset and mad as I've ever seen her.
The first missed spot was harder to tell but it looked like Jackie backed out when Trish was setting something up, unfortunaltely when that happens the person who was going to do the move is made to look bad. And Trish was jumping the ropes probably to stop herself in mid move because of Jackie.
JAckie on the mic was horrible again, she takes a minute to spit out 6 words. I was waiting for Trish to scream "Spit it out already" in the middle of... one... of... Jackie's... sentences.
To top off this great match, the little cherry on top. We had Lilian saying "the Winner of this match. Trish Stratus" completely forgetting Bradshaw...hahaha.
I hated Lawler's little add on of "hey this is worse then kat fights" jackass.

| #30 Posted on 9.7.02 0222.38 Reposted on: 9.7.09 0229.01 | Well, I've commented on it twice and I still think it sucked. I, for one, still think Jackie sucks. She was slightly worse than Linda on Tough Enough, but she was still good, so I thought the fact that she's really frickin hot would carry her to victory with Jake. That didn't exactly work. So then I said to myself, "Self, what the hell are they gonna do with Jackie? She's got a busted knee, for crying out loud!" So then they turned her heel and she started acting all slutty with Vince, and I said to myself, "Self, this is good! Hot chick + slutty outfits and actions + Vince being the dirty old man that he can be = Jackie not having to wrestle! Yay!" So then she wrestles, and this happens. And, to add insult to potential career injury, she had to adjust her boobs every 10 seconds just so they wouldn't pop out. Word of advvice for Jackie: If you're going to wear super-hot, super-tight leather outfits that show a decent amount of cleavage, allow Miss Stratus to introduce you to the miracle of double-sided tape. | #34 Posted on 9.7.02 0533.15 Reposted on: 9.7.09 0534.37 | I can't believe you're all jumping all over the match quality... Jackie & Linda just finished TE2 and I think they were put on TV immediately because the WWE felt they needed to add some "depth" to the wome's roster and title scene. Not that I necessarily agree with that decision, but look at it this way: everyone who's seen TE2 knows these girls are new to the business. Anyone who hasn't is made aware of that fact by the commentators. What kind of match quality were you expecting. I really dig Trish in the ring and agree that she has improved incredibly but come on... she's no Benoit/Angle/Jericho that can carry anyone to a ***+ match. All things considered I think the girls were doing all right and the WWE was probably thinking of sending them to the territories anyway once the shine wore off. Now that's definitely happening sooner. | A-MOL

If you are trying to get people to watch the show on a regular basis, it's better to have people who could put potentially good matches on that someone likely to "expose the business". When the ratings are falling, you are unlikely to attract viewers with people stumbling around the ring unsure of what they should be doing. | acrid 2.0

Just to put them out there and remind the audience that "these are the winners of Tough Enough and the next time you see them they will be real superstars". It really is too bad that Jackie apparently fucked up that badly during the 4 minutes she was on in a 2 hour program.

She's the worst promo person in the entire federation and she can't work. Now, I can appreciate that she won Tough Enough, but come on. We only saw Nidia maybe twice before she went down and she never wrestled. Maven wrestled a couple of times and I really only think he stayed up after the Rumble because he was way ahead of where they thought he would be and he was over. These Tough Enough girls aren't over and they aren't ready. There's absolutely no reason to leave them up there, hell, all they're doing now is hurting Jackie's future chances because the longer they leave her up here ruining segments the more people are going to not give a damn about her. Send them to OVW and let them get some seasoning, this is the ONLY major league wrestling company in this country and they should NOT have people like this on TV, I don't care what game show they won. | tomvejada

I just watched Jackie/Trish and yeah, Trish was sitting on the turnbuckle like 'uhh.. HEY!'. I got the feeling Jackie didn't know what she was supposed to be doing. The match was a travesty, I just hope it doesn't hurt the women's division. |
