| #1 Posted on 6.7.02 1622.02 Reposted on: 6.7.09 1629.04 | Yeah, WWE, WWF, whatever. Here's the fact, jack.
Russo signed with WWE a little while ago and the whole internet went crazy. Most of the work-rate freaks cried themselves to sleep, while some people supported Russo. Either way, it made some huge impact when it was announced that Russo was back.
Then all of the sudden there were RUMORS that Russo was demoted to an at-home writing consultant, or whatever the f they call it. So WWE signed the guy, announced him as a new member of the writing team, and then ALL OF THE SUDDEN Russo is gone...but it's all based on rumors. There has never been an official announcement saying Russo isn't a writer, just all speculation by wrestling experts. Well, I call them "experts".
Let's keep going. If there is one thing internet reporters know how to do it's make up stories. And they can make up some great stories. What do you do when you have a rumor like the Russo one? Well throw in some more wrestling personalities hated by the online community. Triple H and Billionaire Steph. It's no secret that all these critics hate Hunter and Stephanie McMahon, so they will use any shot they have at the politics thing and throw it towards these two. So when the Russo demotion rumor comes out, it's easy to guess what the next rumor will be...Stephanie McMahon and HHH told Vince to demote Russo.
Hey, it's the next step of the story. It might be true, but judging by the wrestling reporter track record and over exaggeration of everything including the color of the Nitro ring ropes, I'm a little skeptical of the whole "HHH and Stephanie holding Russo down" thing. Hey, judge for yourself, but remember who you are getting your "facts" from...online wrestling reporters. Here's another "fact" you get from them at the bottom of every news post:
"Hogan to rip off his freakin face and reveal he was the Warrior all along...PLUS NAKED CHICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~"
These guys know what they're talking about...when it comes to making stupid symbols. And most of them aren't good at that either.
So was Russo demoted? And did HHH and Stephanie have part in it? Maybe, maybe not. But there has been no announcement saying Russo definitely isn't writing for the WWF. I don't know about you, but the writing seems a little different to me the last couple of weeks. But that's just me...some idiot on a message board. I'm no expert...I mean I don't even write for a newsboard.

But, everyone who has seen Keiji Mutou in the past few years wouldn't say he does much of anything due to laziness. Nice bald spot, though.

EDIT: Hey admins, hows about letting people use Japanese on this board?

To be 3% honest with you I think even I could beat up this Muta character, so it's not really a big deal if Triple H does it. But smarks would still get pissed if you said that to them. I'll bet my bottom dollar, jack.
Man this thread is getting way off the topic.

That in itself is enough to make me think he's not writing for them anymore. I mean, I guess it's possible he would just show up there, but you'd think he would be a little busy. | Mild Mannered Madman

Actually, Mutoh had a great series of matches last year from June to August. And he shaved his head at the end of 2000, so the baldspot's moot.

I think the mere mention of Russo made the entire writing staff for both shows re-evaluate their status in the company. I'm sure Stpehanie, Brian Gewirtz, and Paul Heyman all crapped themselves when Russo was "re-hired". | SmooveK

| #14 Posted on 7.7.02 1727.14 Reposted on: 7.7.09 1729.05 | Powell's Take
Someone at the Torch wrote a good column explaining why Russo, regardless of his authority, is good for the WWF write now. Basically, the threat of someone else taking their job creates compition amongst the writers, motivating them to produce better television. The writer (Powell) thinks Vince would be even more than willing to boot Steph if a better (or potentially better) replacement came along, so it serves as a wake up call to even her.
