While I was obviously otherwise very busy working this afternoon, I found myself looking at tweets about Sprite Remix - how I got there is still something of a mystery, but the story ends with me finding myself collecting and reformatting them all to share with you.
It's just over 350 tweets from the past 7 days, but it may take a bit of time to load up, so I will send you here to go look at them...go check out http://CRZ.us/spriteremix and then come back. I'll wait for you.
OK. So did you notice any lack of...well, *diversity* amongst all of those tweets?
Maybe it would be easier if I gave you a different page with all of the avatars of the collected tweets, so I'll do THAT right here (imagen.CRZ.net).
Honestly, I'm not completely sure what this means. I mean, surely there ARE white people who pine for Sprite Remix...but I guess none of them were on Twitter about it from the past week.
So there you are. Quantcast keeps saying we have a disproportionately high percentage of black visitors compared with the baseline Internet, so I throw it to you. In our post-racial society, should anything even be made of this certainly crucial issue of which demographic may care more about a long gone fruit soda?
(Answers of "you have too much time on your hands" will be cheerfully ignored, because I am well aware of time and hands and things of that nature.)
Oh....and don't forget to retweet this. There's a Twitter icon right down there somewhere! ;-)
[This thread MAY have been subconsciously inspired by a thread which will soon make it onto The 7, but hasn't JUST yet, combined with a post from last November at The Awl (theawl.com)...but even I'm not totally sure how my mind works sometimes.]
