| #1 Posted on 3.7.02 2318.10 Reposted on: 3.7.09 2321.41 | is the regular tag team with the name that desribes both just about finished? You still have the Hardys, but there's no more Acolytes, no more Dudleys, no more Harlem Heat, you get the point. Tag teams were one of my best memories of wrestling when I was little, the Sheepherders (pre-Bushwhacker nonsense they were brutal), the Freebirds, the Rock N Roll Express, the Midnight Express, Road Warriors, Fantastics, so many more even down to jobber teams such as the Mulkeys. Now it seems the top contender may end up being Holly and Venis, good wrestlers but does that combination really seem like a TEAM? BTW, would an Eliminators teams using Perry Saturn and possibly someone like Mike Awesome work? Saturn n Awesome has a little bit of a ring to it, just turn Awesome back into the ECW killer he was and you'd have a great tag team IMHO. Promote this thread! | | WyldeWolf1

1)They must have the same intro music and come to the ring together 2)A team that incorporates tandem moves, one of which is a finisher (think Dudley Death Drop, Wasssup Drop, Dudley Device for the Dudleys)
I like the ocasional reign for two singles wrestlers, as I think that putting the belts on two singles guys is a very good way to develop several stories at once, but when that is your only viable option, your federation is in trouble. | Dahak

Yeah those are the 2 most obvious things that make a team. Also I would suggest a team name. Not just the 2 wrestlers name. And have them well you know TEAM together before they win the titles for at least 3 months. No betrayals or swerves for at least a year. | Mr. Boffo

I have to add that I really don't like double team moves. Whenever it happens, I always find myself thinking "Why is the referee allowing this? One of the guys isn't legal!" In my book, any interference by the non-legal partner (that the ref notices) should lead to disqualification. But I guess I'm just *old school*.
On a side note: I *am* actually hoping that Hardcore Holly & the Big Valbowski will have at least a few more matches together, so I can use the nickname I made up a little more. "Big & Hard". | HMD

Booker-Golddust nWo Vanilla Midgets Dudleyz v2.0 Hardyz Nowinski/Regal (Bluebloods)
Just think if ANY of these teams could be competing for the titles. Makes me shudder to think of Al Snow and *Maven* shooting for them not too long ago. Sigh... | Chico Santana

| #14 Posted on 9.7.02 1259.16 Reposted on: 9.7.09 1300.12 | Well, Benoit and Guerrero had matching tights last night. Now they need a name and a double team move. Now they have pulled off a combination Crossface-Frog Splash (to the back) in a beatdown. But I would like to see something like Eddie doing a move that sends the jobber backwards into Benoit, who does a belly to back.
As for names, are there any tag teams with names anymore? Other than simply adding Boys after Dudley or Hardy.
How about Chico and the Man (that's what Ventura would've called them). | ICEMAN

Mabye let him and Eddie run rampant in the tag division for Benoit to get back to 100 percent in the ring, and also beating Edge and Hogan (at Summerslam perhaps?) would make Benoit and Eddie look good. | ripblazer
