I'm not only going to see it, I'm getting the OFFICIAL movie poster from the movie theatre where I work. You should've seen the reactions when I went "I CALL THE POWERPUFF GIRLS POSTER!"

My kids absolutely love MoJo JoJo. They really could not care less about the Powerpuff Girls, but they run around the house doing the MoJo voice:

"I am MoJo JoJo. Bow down to me, you dogs." It's pretty funny coming out the mouths of 2 and 4 year olds!

They've ran some really shitty looking commercials on the Cartoon Network with typical movie footage, but on Adult Swim, they premiered the new SPACE GHOST commerical for the movie:

"Friends, are you going to see the new Powerful Girls movie? Well, you should. It's got monkeys in it. If it doesn't, it should. It does have Powderpuff Girls, though. I know, because they're close personal friends of mine... or are they? Are the Powerpuff Girls close personal friends of mine? Find out this Christmas, at..."

And then a Brak voiceover says "The Powerpuff Girls movie, starts Friday at a theatre near you".

Classic.

(As far as the cartoon goes, I'm not wild about it, although the "Meet The Beat-Alls" episode was excellent. "You'd better run for your lives while you can, little girls...")

Cartoon history? Probably not. As for Powerpuff Girls? Yes, probably. I only need cite six words as proof:

"No dogs, no biting, no dropping." XD

Random tangent: Although the boss' wife at my last job was a sweet woman, a good worker, and a good person to work with, her name was Jo Ann, and my boss called her "Jojo." Of course, this led to me referring to her as "Mojo Jojo" in private. And of course, I meant that in a good way.
Oh yes, and I will see that damn movie, even if it means I suffer the unending mockery of all my soon-to-be-lawyer peers.

Mojo and Him are awesome heels, but you can't deny the overall funktitude of...The Boogie Man! So f'n awesome...a nocturnal heel in Saturday Night Fever suits and flying limos...in an episode that combines disco and a tribute to the Star Wars trench scene:

"You're all clear, kid! Now blow up that disco ball so we can get back to bed!"Right-on!

The movie? I'm there, dude.

The other Adult Swim commercial is awesome too. The one where Brakk says,

"All of my friends asked me how good the Powerpuff Girls movie is, and I tell them, 'I don't know', because it doesn't open for three days, STUPID!"

"Meet The Beat-Alls" was a classic, and some of the other episodes are pretty good. I don't know if the movie is going to do good or not because I haven't seen that many commercials for it. I may try to see it in the next few weeks.

My cable system (RCN of NJ) does not carry the cartoon network so my two girls only exposure to the Powerpuff Girls has been on Channel 11 the last couple of Saturday mornings - I know that my 4 year old will want to see it. My wife gets this one however as I get Lilo & Stitch in our movie rotation.

(Doing best Mojo Jojo voice):

I too will see the Powerpuff Girls Movie.
I will enter the theater with the purpose of viewing the movie with the Powerpuff Girls.
The Powerpuff Girls movie will be shown in a theater where I will go to see it.
The Powerpuff Girls movie will be on a screen in a movie theater, and I will be watching it.
It is I who will be in a seat where the Powerpuff Girls movie that I am seeing will be displayed.
I will not be in theaters not showing the Powerpuff Girls movie, because I will be watching the movie with the Powerpuff Girls in it.
Any theater lacking the Powerpuff Girls movie is not the one in which I may be found.
It is not that I will not....

You get the idea.

In the future, cartoon villans will not be referred to as "bad guys", but as "heels" and it will be damn sweet.

That post got me thinking. Apparently, Mojo Jojo's character is modeled after the grammar portions of standardized tests.

1. Which of the above statements best rewrites the following?
"Also going to the theater, the Powerpuff Girls movie is what I will be seeing."

oh r00fles...

There's another episode that's pretty awesome. I don't know the name of it though. It takes up the full half-hour, and it's HIM giving the Powerpuffs riddles to solve so that the Professor doesn't pay. I haven't seen it listed on any tapes yet so I assume it's one of the newer ones.

As for the movie...I've only seen one commercial, and then some kind of faux music video ("Girls Against The World"), though I'm not sure if it's for the movie or not. Both were only shown on Cartoon Network (which is the *only* station we watch in work). The commercial didn't really give alot away about the movie, but who cares. They've shown copius shots of Mojo Jojo. Mojo Jojo = my hero, the inspiration for my AIM account.

Also, there have been new episodes running on CN and Kids WB that have been nothing short of spectacular. The afore mentioned one featuring HIM making the girls run around town solving riddles a la Die Hard 3 was great.

Picking up the thread from yesterday...

I went to the 11 o'clock show this morning and there were maybe 10 people in the theatre. Which was funny, since I saw all these families going into the theatre before me. I guess they went to see Lilo and Stitch or MIB.

Stupid people.

At least we know how Mojo got his hideout now. :>
