I want TNA to succeed as much as you do, and I'm not as overly negative as a large portion of the IWC crowd.

However, before we start sucking Hogan's popsicle, let's see how TNA does over a larger sample size than a handful of weeks popped by the initial fun and surprise of Hogan, Waltman, Hall, and Bischoff all back on our televisions.

A consistent upward trend would do a hell of a lot more to convince me this is the right thing to do than an immediate surge.

The first night did indeed set records for TNA: Impact. But 20% of the people who watched that special Monday show apparently didn't like what they saw, because the ratings went back down. Last night's show did a 1.2 Household rating, a 0.7 18-49 rating, and 1.867 million viewers. For reference, the August 20th, 2009 had 1.6 million viewers. Is the additional ad revenue from 250,000 viewers enough to cover the increased salaries that Hogan et al. must be getting paid? I don't think it is.

That sounds like accepting mediocrity to me ... Professional wrestling (as an art form) can be more, SHOULD be more, and the big-time wrestling promoters shouldn't be excused for assuming the audience is too stupid to pick up on these inconsistencies, giving them free reign to shovel out dumbed-down garbage week after week. They should be called out for it (although truthfully, random posting on an internet message boards isn't going to cause some massive paradigm shift within the industry).

I really don't think watching the show and complaining about it every week on a random message board TNA doesn't even know exists more than likely is the same as not accepting mediocrity, though. That's my point pretty much, it seems pointless to complain about the same things every week. It's like battered wife syndrome or whatever it's called where you keep going back to the abuser.

Last week, TNA had 16 minutes of wrestling: I hope they had more this time around.

Any estimates on in-ring time this week?

I'd say double that is a good estimate.

Wrestling hasn't been logical and consistent in a LONG time and that goes long before Hogan and Bischoff showed up in TNA. And it's not going to change, so whining about it every week solves nothing except wasting your time watching a show you don't enjoy. Which seems counterproductive to me.

I know it isn't a logic based show. But, I would think at least they could have enough common sense to NOT say that somebody is somewhere we've already seen a few times.

And, I didn't even bring up the logic that Kurt spit in Hogans face, yelled "I QUIT" and is back the next week.

Why did Mick bust Bischoff open off-screen? Oh right, Bischoff probably cut himself open enough to get a trickle going to fire Mick.

So why not fire Mick now? Well, Hogan is convinced he has a purpose.

So Hulk is pro-Mick Foley? Why couldn't Mick get anyone to return his calls when TNA announced Hulk was coming? How come Mick was locked out of the Monday Impact? How come Hulk didn't care when the nWo beat Mick up?

Why would Bischoff even need to stage an attack on himself so he'd have a reason to fire Mick? Why not just ban him from the building like they'd already done? And plenty of people are getting fired without attacking Bischoff first.

Now Eric's extorting Mick to get him to stay. Didn't Mick want to stay? Wasn't he doing everything he could to sneak into the building? Wasn't he declaring that he'd use force to keep Bischoff from ruining the company? Now all of a sudden he has to be cajoled into staying around?

Maybe they'll answer these questions next week.
