Even though this cartoon kicks all kinds of ass, they make the Martian Manhunter appear to be a jobber compared to his comic book self.
Here are power differences:
Cartoon: Flight, Shape Change for a short amount of time (he was only Mongul for a short time), Super Strength, Telepathy, Decent Durability, Intangiblity, and thats it.
Comic: Flight, Shape Change for as long as he wants, IMMENSE Strength and Durability-- much greater than in the cartoon, the ability to do almost anything with his body -- like stretching.

And Finally, WHERE THE HELL IS MANHUNTER'S MARTIAN VISION IN THE CARTOON!!!! In the Comic's his eyebeams and Martian vision is awesome. Still, even cartoon Manhunter is cool.
Also, the Flash is much slower in the cartoon..... and dumber, when he was trapped in a block of ice in the Cartoon, Flash had no means of escape, but in the Comic he could have vibrated fast enough to melt the ice. Flash in comics = running through tanks, blowing them up, dodging cosmic rays.
Flash in JLA cartoon is more like Wally post Crisis, where he was slowly building his speed up mast Mach 1. Still, the Cartoon kicks ass.

In the words of Bill Walton, it's HORRIBLE.

You can tell who was the strength of the WB! Cartoon stable

Batman: Dini and Timm
Superman: Dini
Batman Beyond: Timm
JLA: Timm

The only JLA episode I've actually liked so far is the "JLA/JSA" team-up. And parts of the one Dini actually wrote, which I believe featured Grodd.

Wait... are we talking about the "Justice League" show on the Cartoon Network? The one that keeps re-running the same six episodes over and over? Because I've seen each one of them 20 times, and never seen a JLA/JSA teamup.

Technically, it's a pseudo JLA/JSA team-up. There's a parallel world where there are old heroes, who everyone thought were just from a comic book that John Stewart used to read as a kid.

Batman Beyond is pretty cool. But yeah, Paul Dini rules my cartoonish world.

I like Justice League. It is pretty cool for a kids show. About equal to Batman, Batman Beyond, and Superman. All the characters are weaker especially the Martian Manhunter but that is they way a TV7 show would be. While it is not really made for little kids it is made for them to be able to watch. My 2 kids (2&4) like it they don't get scared by it.

All the successive shows pale to the first B:TAS series, which seemed to actually be more geared for adults than kids. Episodes without supervillains, a black palatte scheme and plenty of angst.

The show began going downhill when Fox mandated that they have Robin in every episode. The problem occured later when they mandated Batgirl in every episode (this was after the character redesign, which was another bad move).

Superman was good, but suffered from many of the same problems as the regular Superman mythos: poor supervillain stable, especially when compared to the Bat Rogues' Gallery.
I mean, Metallo? Toyman? Prankster? Terra Man? And they get more horrible in recent times. Maxima? Conduit? Eradicator?

Batman Beyond is fine, but I don't religiously due to its lack of continuity to regular or animated DCU.

JLA has so many problems. A wussy Superman. A mediocre Batman. Bad personality of Flash. And pitiful character designs.

Can't touch the old Challenge of the Superfriends. And not that Wendy/Marvin/Wonder Dog era...gimme Zan, Jayna and Gleek anytime! Plus, stable vs. stable feuds: Justice League vs. The Legion of Doom! Best. Villian. Stable. Ever.

(For a hilarious look back at their world, click here!)

And as for new school...I'll admit to TOTALLY digging the "Justice Friends" segments of Dexter's Laboratory...not to mention when Dexter teams up with Blue Falcon and Dynomutt! It's Hanna-Barberra-riffic!

God, what would we do without Cartoon Network?

Given the choice, I'd actually pick Boomerang over Cartoon Network, but I'm old and would rather watch Yogi Bear and Huckleberry Hound than JOhnny Bravo or Dragonball Z.

I dunno, I actually really dug the villains they used for Superman... the whole Darkseid storyline they did was just awesome if you ask me. Same thing with JLA. I mean come on: Gorilla Grodd, Copperhead, the Shade... hell, Batman even used Firefly in a couple episodes (Friggin' FIREFLY! Even the Batman comic barely uses Firefly!), so as a villain fan these shows have been complete markouts for me.

That Batman redsesign sure did blow chunks though.

Speaking of Boomerang, is there any truth to the rumour that they're going to be showing the Mr. T cartoon starting sometime this summer?

Because the current Green Lantern (and basically all other incarnations of the character designed to guard earth) is a white guy.

Batman = White
Superman = White
Flash = White
Wonder Woman = White
Hawkgirl = White

I do believe they're simply trying to diversify things, which I applaud.

Personally, I really enjoy Justice League. That being said, I'll agree that it's not as strong story wise as the previous series.

Team shows and comics are really hit or miss because there are too many variables to make the "average" audience happy. Face it, Batman fans want to see Batman, not Hawkgirl and vise versa.

For example, I just downloaded "Injustice for All" and it's very thin story wise. All seven leaguers , the Injustice Gang and approximately 43 minutes to showcase them all. The only thing you really have time for is a really good fight episode. And for what it is, I think it delivered. I sat down, ate a sandwich and marked out. That's all I need sometimes.

I'm looking forward to the second season, despite the possible involvement of Jeph Loeb. ;p Dini's trying to clear time to do a few episode next year and the production team wanted to tie in the Superman :Legacy arc from S:TAS, so I'm all for it.

And don't crap on Batman Beyond, everybody knows that was the best "Spider-Man" cartoon ever made.

Yes he's human. If they needed to diversify, make GL Hal and have Cyborg come in. But, I do have to say John Stewart (black GL) is awesome in the show. In the comic he was never as dynamic a character as Hal, Guy, or the original and best(well my favorite) GL, Alex. But, in the cartoon John is awesome. I totally marked out when he recited the GL oath to defeat the huge energy beast.
