| #1 Posted on 2.7.09 1742.40 Reposted on: 2.7.16 1743.30 | Hi there! Here come the 164 DVDs and 12 Blu-rays which you can find on Tuesday (except for a few of them which will appear later in the week) along with the assorted information, links and goodies you may have come to expect from me every week. Thankfully, with the Independence Day holiday approaching, it was a light load, even though we'll all have recovered by Tuesday. Hopefully.
PICK OF THE WEEK Peanuts: 1960's Collection (A Charlie Brown Christmas / Charlie Brown's All-Stars / It's the Great Pumpkin / You're in Love / He's Your Dog / It Was a Short Summer) (The W at Amazon) Having just come back from a visit to the Schulz museum in Santa Rosa (schulzmuseum.org), the timing couldn't be better. Two of these haven't appeared on DVD before, but on the down side bonus features on earlier individual releases didn't make it into this collection, so you may have to double dip even if you avoided the earlier releases, depending on how manic a collector you feel like being. Of course, as I type this there are some ridiculously low-priced used copies of three of them floating about...

I'd agree with you EXCEPT that for stuff you KNOW you would be getting on Day One anyway, preordering as soon as possible ensures you will pay Amazon's lowest offered price from the time you order it until the day of release, and in today's economy, a couple bucks here or there never hurts.
Also, it doesn't take a LOT of copies to move something up to #1 early out...this is why you see some weeks changing a few times before we actually get there. | odessasteps

Usually, I'll only pre-order if I am placing an order at the same time.
