| #1 Posted on 20.3.09 1637.40 Reposted on: 20.3.16 1638.39 | I just wanted to remind people that if they haven't done so, set your DVR's for HDNet @ 8pm tomorrow the 21st for ROH. It's ch 306 for DirecTV, check your local listings for other carriers.
If you don't have HD cable or satellite, I guess you're out of luck.
I've heard alot of great things over the years and I want to see if it lives up to the hype. Except for Santino's antics, both WWE and TNA have annoyed me to no end that I haven't had the urge to watch it for a couple years now. Reading the recaps, I feel I'm not missing much, except for ECW.
Honestly, if there is a match that was a must see according to the recaps, I can usually catch them on youtube before they get pulled.

Our Comcast offers HDNet.
Oh, so I'm gonna recap it for Rick (and probably hide it over here somewhere). Go hunting for that in about 24! | Mike Zeidler

Our Comcast has HDnet (and HDNet movies) on a separate, special tier for $4.95/month, which is ridiculous, so no ROH for me until it that tier goes away in a month or so and gets added to the normal package.

That used to be how it was over here, but somewhere along the line they dropped HDNet Movies from the lineup and threw HDNet into the existing HD package. We also lost MOJO about the same time, which was kind of a bummer, but I found out that that was due to the channel actually shutting down. | drjayphd

Is it sad that this is the first I've heard of MOJO disappearing? Didn't even notice its absence in the guide.

That's "HD Theater" (dhd.discovery.com) - those Mecum auctions are somethin' else. | Torchslasher

| #11 Posted on 21.3.09 2246.48 Reposted on: 21.3.16 2249.35 | On a whim I clicked over to HDNet to see if i was available yet (supposed to change over Mid-April) and got to see most of the last three matches! I was really impressed with how much it looked and sounded like an actual sport, and then the Albright match started and it shifted a bit more toward the entertainment side.
The announcers were amazingly professional and I really liked how they focused on the actual calling of the match, and less on the matches coming up, other storylines, etc.
I would lean toward watching it again (and my wife was interested too, which never happens with wrestling) | Dawg

It's a fact, chicks dig ROH!
We always bring our friends to the Detroit shows and they have a really good time even if they're not fans. I recommend checking one out when/if they're in your area. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
