Because it was clearly the former and clearly awesome. Best HHH moment since the legendary Bob Holly encounter.
I'm with you. I was half-expecting HHH to break down crying.
Me too. I bought into it big time. it made me look forward to a HHH/Orton match for the first time since....well since forever. I might not be a psyched for this in a month, but for now I am. My only complaint was that orton didn't basically look a HHH and laugh. The look he gave pretty mcuh lets you know how this will play out. Orton looked like he knew he pulled on Superman's Cape and that an ass kicking was coming his way and there was nothing he could do. | shawnpatrick

I would also but they need one big guy in MiTB match to do power spots and ohhhh the crowd. If not Mike Knox, then Kane.
Speaking of big men, has the Big Show stock dropped or what? From last year being a main focus on Wrestlemania to possibly not even being in it this year. I was and still am a fan of the Big Show (we come from the same little South Carolina town) but he's really slowed down a lot in the last year. Bet his back and knees are really bothering him again, a problem that plagues nearly all super-giants when they hit 35 plus.

I always figured Orton's kick to the head was devastating because it was going into the victims temple.

| #47 Posted on 17.2.09 1946.53 Reposted on: 17.2.16 1947.04 | And to think, this time last year the talk of the wrestling world was JBL and Vince beating the snot out of Hornswoggle.
How will Randy Orton go from being scared shitless at the end of the show last night to choosing to challenge HHH? Remember, it's Orton's *choice*. Why would he *choose* to wrestle HHH? If the belt was on the other waist, then yes, of course, HHH chooses to challenge Orton. This? I'm not sure yet.
The Jericho stuff had better lead to a match with Austin, or more generally, anyone who is not Mickey Rourke. I mean, looking at the road they appear to be going down, it seems pretty silly that the Hollywood actor / non-wrestler will be the one to step up to defend the honor of the immortal wrestling legends.
How are two RAW wrestlers able to negotiate a match that will contractually obligate the winner to wrestle a Smackdown wrestler?
And since it was already mentioned, is there *any* chance that Hogan gets a spot on the same show that will presumably be centered around Austin's farewell match?

I could buy into this, if Orton's own finisher didn't seem much more devasting than that punt. Hell, that rope-assisted DDT that he's been doing lately looks worse.
That's not to say a running kick to the head wouldn't hurt like hell, and possible knock someone out...but when you see CM Punk cracking guys upside their heads with his kicks, and Big Show hitting guys in the face with a closed fist that's a lot bigger than Orton's foot...well, suspension of disbelief only goes so far. | SEADAWG

Yes. Also the blindfold match with D'Lo where he stood there pointing his finger and giving the ol' what-for to the turnbuckle.
Originally posted by StevieRichards What was the HHH/Bob Holly moment?
Oh man, it was grand. If you didn't catch Justin's reference, I will elaborate further.
Circa 2000, Triple H and Stephanie were on Sunday Night Heat for lord only knows what reason, and they walked into their catered dressing room to find BOB HOLLY sitting on the couch, his feet up on the table, eating their fruit plate.
Except he wasn't so much eating the fruit as much as he was tossing it into the air, trying to catch it in his mouth, and missing. And to illustrate his lack of aim, there were pieces of fruit strewn all over the couch.
Naturally, HHH and Stephanie were aghast at his presence. I think there may have been an earlier segment that established Stephanie's fondness for the fruit plate Holly was eating, so as you can imagine, she was most unhappy.
Anyway, harsh words were exchanged, a challenge was issued, and it all culminated in HHH daring to refer to Bob as "MISTER I CAN'T CATCH ANY FRUIT".
On the Mount Rushmore of great Sunday Night Heat moments, it stands alongside the APA/T&A strip poker game, undisputed world champion Chris Jericho's sound effects as he flicked defeated opponents from the palm of his hand, and anytime from the early days when Shane McMahon would go "BOOYAH". | odessasteps

They should do a thing where Orton and Edge agree to wrestle each other at first, causing Triple H and Cena to freak.

Right, they're just wrestling for the right to say "YOU AND ME SHOULD FIGHT, THE DEAD MAN." Undertaker could conceivably still be like "Rest ... in ... NO. *bong*"

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I'd buy Randy's kick as a finisher - I'd even buy it as a particularly feared finisher based on the build up they've been giving it. But as a move that's supposed to put people in the hospital for extended periods of time, it just doesn't work for me. Randy took two shots to the temple from a ring bell, but that is somehow substantially less powerful than his own running kick. It just doesn't stand up compared to what else went on in the match, let alone what else is happening within the company. | SEADAWG

YES. Boy, my recap was surprisingly accurate. The mocking delivery of "BOB" is also worth noting, especially considering the fact that I think he was going exclusively by Hardcore Holly at that point.
