I know not many of you have heard of him but he was the friend of a friend. My friend Jennifer grew up with him and her and her brother would play WWF with him when they were kids and she's kept in touch with him through the years.
She told me that 'Roid (ab)use was very active in the big two and his abuse of it did a number on his back and knees, which lead to his early retirement and opening a wrestling gym/school. After he got off the juice, Jen and her husband said he looked like he lost 60 lbs or so because he was so skinny.
He was found dead in a parking lot near his wrestling school today, at age 32. I'm sure it was his heart, like so many others in the biz who died way too young.
I followed his career for a bit when he was coming up because he was working with Angle. It was just through coincidence that I met a childhood friend of his through another friend. They didn't know if I used to follow wrestling and were surprised that I've heard of Steve Bradly.
I was supposed to meet him a few times last year, but things just kept falling through. He promised to send me an autographed picture but he just kept forgetting. My friend Jen still has ties back home to his friends and family in NH so if she finds out anything, I'll pass it on.
