We're into our third week of "Clerks: The Animated Series" airing on Adult Swim - it's a bit of a stopgap since (a) there are only six episodes to show and (b) they only need to fill this gap until the beginning of 2009, when their rights to "King of the Hill" begin, although it looks like it'll stay on Fridays for the future...

Yep, you read right - "King of the Hill" becomes the latest [as] ratings sellout. Of course, I'm sure to watch it, so...

"American Dad's" shuttled off to Fridays in 2009...well, for a while. It'll be back when there's new ones to show, I'm sure - or as soon as they decide maybe they shouldn't air a double KOTH EVERY night.

THE PJs comes to Adult Swim in 2009! Take that, TV One - you now have ZERO shows I can only see on your channel!

Back to stuff airing RIGHT NOW...

"Drinky Crow" started its 10 episode run last Sunday. It's...okay I guess?

"Superjail" is nearing the end of ITS 10 episode run. It's out there, crazy, weird and I'm sure nobody's watching it.

Another 10 "Robot Chicken" episodes start NEXT week.

"The Mighty Boosh" starts in January! I am EXCITED! Seriously!

"Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" returns with new episodes in February. You are disheartened! I am already anticipating new quoteworthiness and inside jokes with the six other people who enjoy this show!

A week later, still in February and "Delocated" takes the "Robot Chicken" slot - hopefully it'll be funnier than the pilot was. Adult Swim sure loves producting non-animated shows, don't they?

I think that covers everything new to us on the [as] schedule. We anxiously await "Dilbert" and "The Critic" - just kidding. (But wouldn't that be great if it was actually happening?) On the plus side....no sign of "Baby Blues"

(There's also some anime, but I think we lost all those people four or five years ago. I WILL note that "Inuyasha" is FINALLY just about gone... down to one showing a week, buried deep into the Saturday schedule)

But don't take MY word for it - http://www.adultswim.com/schedule/

It was recently reported to me that the Canadian version of AdultSwim features Father of the Pride and the Critic.

Why the fuck don't we get any of that sweet action down here? I'm all for the PJ's but, come on!

Also why has God, The Devil, and Bob never been picked up by AdultSwim, damn you NBC and your less than one seasons worth of animated series!

I would love someone to show "Dilbert".

I would love even more if someone ever picked up the rights to all the MTV cartoons and aired them on a regular basis. The Maxx, The Head, Clone High, Daria, Three South...bring them all back.

When are the Xtacles going to be back? The first 2 episodes were OK and it is a FD spin off.

It also seems to me like "Sifl & Olly" would be right in their wheelhouse, as it's really bizarre and sporadically hilarious but evidently unbelievably wonderful when high.

This list is incomplete without Undergrads and Downtown, which spawned my ability to state the rules of Risk at auctioneer speed and Megas CLR, respectively.

The Critic is on REEL or whatever the movie review channel is called, but my cable company keeps moving which tier its in; thus it's gone for now.

Time Warner needs its own Hulu badly.

"Double shot" of KOTH leading off the new hour every night? It'll be interesting to see how long that lasts. I'm OK with KOTH, but I don't think it lends itself to repeated viewings. And it's already been played out in syndication. I wonder if Comedy Central will have anything useful opposite that.

I guess I missed the "Delocated" sneak preview.

Superjail is that "14 year old teenage boy" style of drawing & humour that doesn't do much for me. But it's not totally unwatchable.

Drinky Crow is too soon for me to tell. Didn't love ep 101, but I'll give it another chance. I'm always curious what's the thinking when they don't show the episodes in order. Are they putting the best ones up front, & they're expected go downhill from there?

I think it's a shame that they haven't given the final season & finale of Moral Oral more justice. They've done the "44 Nights of Oral", but they've had all the episodes all mixed together. This last season has been so dark & creepy, & the device of filling in all the backstory of the supporting characters is actually quite brilliant. And keeping the touchstone of Moral's descent into hell. I don't know that a New Year's Eve marathon is where I'd most like to watch this, but I will make sure I have room on the TiVo. (There's only room for 8 episodes though -- not even a whole season.)

That cornerstone Sunday night lineup is looking awfully weak. There's going to be some shuffling there.

How about Liquid TV? There must be a generation of kids who only know Aeon Flux as a live action movie.

Very much yes. I'm devoted to KTVI's 12:35 runnings of KOTH nightly and now that I have to start getting up every weekday at 6 AM an earlier run will save my life.

I would be *so* on board with all of these. I saw just a bit of The Maxx and was intrigued. I'd love to see the whole thing.

I'd rather see all of these and The Critic than KOTH.

Count me as one of the four remaining anime fans of [as], but only new episodes. I was definitely sick of Inuyasha by the time they quit showing new episodes of that one. I wish they would show more of the anime shows, but I can't really complain that they are doing the anime fans wrong when those ratings are about 10% of the comedy shows. I don't appreciate it when they screw around with the schedule, but with TiVo on my side, I don't really care when the show airs.

Bleach seems kind of in a holding pattern, but that's not a surprise when you realize that this is one of those times when the anime caught up to the manga and they had to concoct an arc to kill time until the manga can get ahead again. Fighting the Bounts isn't a dead-end story and I would probably like it more if I didn't already know about the next arc, but I'm ready for them to end this one and get back to the story I know is waiting in the wings.

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit started off slow and then they restarted it for some reason I can't fathom. From the foreshadowing, I anticipate good things from this show when we get back to new episodes. Maybe not great, but good.

Finally, Code Geass is my favorite of these three. This show has been willing to kill off major characters and turn the main characters' plans to ends they don't expect, and I still haven't figured out what the story is *really* about. (Yeah, I could look it up, but where's the fun in that?)

In short, Animonday on SciFi is ok, but I still prefer the shows I get on [as] Saturdays.

I also understand where AS is coming from on this, but since I don't have TiVo, it really gets me when they move the shows around at random. I don't care when they air stuff, I can always record it with my antique video cassette recorder, but when they just move it around on the spur of the moment it really pisses me off. Thankfully, things seem to have stabilized for the time being, but we'll see how long it lasts for.

Perhaps ironically, thanks to this thread I've decided to look into old episodes of Moral Orel to see if that's something I want to add to my appointment viewing. As of now, though, [as] means not much to me without The Boondocks.

Add Metalocalypse and you take the words right out of my mouth. Though having new eps. of Robot Chicken in the meantime should keep me somewhat satsified.

On a slightly different note, does anyone know what's up with the live- action ATHF show? Other than the contest to find a real live Carl, I have no idea what it's about or when it will air.
