Curt Hennig, better known as Mr. Perfect, competed for the American Wrestling Association, World Wrestling Entertainment and World Championship Wrestling. Born the son of the legendary Larry "The Axe" Hennig, it was perhaps inevitable that Curt would want to follow in his father's footsteps. But Mr. Perfect lived up to his moniker becoming one of the best in-ring technicians of his generation. A former AWA World Heavyweight Champion, he also was the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of the 1990s. Loved by fans and friends alike, Mr. Perfect entertained in and out of the ring, earning him the honor of induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. This two-disc set relives his life and career, from his early start as a second-generation star through AWA, WWE, and WCW. Some of his greatest matches and vignettes are included. Who was this man? Here's a hint...he was absolutely "perfect."

    SPECIAL FEATURES

10 complete matches from WWE, AWA, and WCW
AWA World Heavyweight Championship match versus Nick Bockwinkel
WWE Championship match versus Hulk Hogan
WWE Intercontinental Championship matches versus Shawn Michaels, Bret Hit Man Hart, and the Texas Tornado
    And much more!

Mr. Perfects induction into the 2007 WWE Hall of Fame class

More than a dozen of Mr. Perfects vignettes

The West Texas Rednecks Rap is Crap music video

That last one tips the scales to MUST BUY, for sure.

AVAILABLE 9/9 (or so they say!)

OTOH, Kerry's been dead a long time, so he's probably not bothered too much.

This was the one match where I was really scared that the Hulkster might actually lose the belt. I even remember sitting on the floor in the TV display section at Circuit City watching his free-TV "match" vs. The Genius (our home TV was busted or something).

I might buy this DVD just for all the Genius promos/"Hulk Hogan? You cant do that!" promos/title belt smashing build-up.

I can understand why they would want to show Hennig winning the AWA Title from Bockwinkle, but since that is on the AWA DVD, I'd much rather they show the draw he and Bockwinkle wrestled on ESPN. That match was the one that turned Hennig from a tag team wrestler into a serious singles competitor. Also wouldn't mind seeing him and Hall win the tag titles from Garvin and Regal.

I hope the Bockwinkle match is the 60 minute classic that aired on 24/7 a few months ago. I didn't see much AWA growing up, and that match makes me wish that I had.

I read a review on this set on another site Click Here (highspots.com) and both the tag match mentioned and the 60 minute AWA match appear to be featured.

They air AWA wrestling on ESPN Classic every weeknight from midnight - 1 am and they recently showed about the last 5 minutes of their bloody draw and most of Hennig's title win. In fact, I've seen more Hennig AWA matches in the last 3 months than I can count. I hate to say it, but except for Hennig, the AWA in 87-88 really blew pretty badly.

Of course, nothing will compare to the 89-90 era which they're showing now. At least I can chuckle at Eric Bischoff's commentary. That hair was amazing.

Wonder if it's where he lost the IC title to Von Erich at SummerSlam 1990...my fave all-time PPV. (And it wasn't even that good.)

I disagree. I think that if KVE was called the TEXAS TORNADO back then, it'd probably be better to have him listed on the DVD as such. I mean, it's like watching a Triple H DVD and having him called that during his first matches as TERRA RYZING, right?
