He stumbled through his promos, and he lumbered during the match. I haven't seen him work since his excellent matches against the Undertaker. His mic work set him apart initially from the other RAW guys when he was in Evolution. He was soft-spoken and generally clear.
Now? He looks and sounds like a rookie. Wha'happun?

| #43 Posted on 30.7.08 0641.49 Reposted on: 30.7.15 0641.58 | I've kind of been mulling over the Adamle thing the last couple days, since, really, nothing else is happening in my apparently loser life.
What if he were actually initially hired to play this crappy announcer role. I have been watching some of the old Gladiators on TV and he and Joe do pretty well - and he was smooth when he was doing various sports thing when he was on in Chicago. What if they actually meant for this to happen.
I don't know that Bischoff was a clueless GM - didn't he sort of reveal himself as WCW GM from the booth rather suddenly - I don't recall exactly. But I think I am looking forward to Adamle's role as a clueless GM. I liked the way JR helped us know that Adamle doesn't know anything about wrestling by telling him what to call some simple move (was it a Suplex?) during the last match - and I remember thinking to myself - are they booking Adamle to be stupid as an announcer now? I hadn't thought or considered him as GM - I was thinking maybe it was going to be JR or Flair or maybe even Ted Dibiase (sr).
I think booking Adamle as clueless will be fun - he can like all the wrestlers - because one's as good as another - right? I mean if Announcer Jerry Lawler gets a match, so can Announcer Michel Cole - I mean - look, that is symmetry to the clueless GM - Clearly, Cole is King's partner. | redsoxnation

If he had been hired after Regal's latest suspension began it would make sense. This is more of 'He sucked at what we hired him for, but he has a real contract so let's see if this works.' If it works, Vince looks like a genius. If it fails, Adamle can get thrown out the door Buff Bagwell and Fake Kane went threw. | Skarecrow

I've come around on Santino. He has the comedic timing of a true performer of the like we haven't seen since the rock (and maybe Jericho at his best). Now if only he could wrestle like the rock or Jericho. Just how green is he? Can we expect him to be noticably better in 5-10 years, or is this it?
Speaking of Jericho, I agree on getting Cade away from him, I don't think he should have been there in the first place. Does the guy wrestle a lot of Heat matches (is heat even still on the air?), or does he just follow jericho around doing nothing? We could have just gotten Chris a nice labrador retriever for that role.

| #47 Posted on 30.7.08 1311.29 Reposted on: 30.7.15 1312.51 | There’s nothing wrong with Cade’s current positioning. He’s being transitioned into a (meaningful) feud with Shawn. Cade’s time is coming soon.
However, I would say that the current set-up is benefiting Jericho more than Cade. Jericho has (1) shed the Y2J persona, (2) started doing “evil” things because he believes he’s doing good (and not simply for the sake of doing evil things), and now (3), he has a disciple who believes in what he’s doing. Jericho is becoming a mega-heel right before our eyes - one that he couldn’t become in 2001-02 (politics aside). This will be Jericho’s legacy. | Skarecrow

| #48 Posted on 30.7.08 1806.14 Reposted on: 30.7.15 1806.17 | See, I have no problem with Cade being jericho's disciple at all, as long as they DO something with him. He just seems to follow Chris around and not DO anything. Normally when you've got the mega heel and his sidekick, the sidekick has midcard matches to showcase his strength and prove that he has some reason to be following the star around... that he has indeed learned something at the foot of the master, and that he has legitimate support that the master might want him around for.
I havn't seen that yet with Cade. I've seen him get a little bit of mic time and do a run in or two. That's it for what now, almost a month of side-kickism? We didn't even get the expected jericho/cade vs hbk/london match.

A. Avenge Jericho's loss.
B. Show how Jericho saved him.
C. Be an example to others (London) that if they let Jericho save them, they can achieve greatness.
