I had read rumors of this about a week or two ago, but didn't see anything official. The team possibly bringing in Billy King worries me, though... Promote this thread! | | It's False

The only way I see Isiah staying as coach is if they can turn over the roster enough to give him somewhat of a new start. | StingArmy

Agreed. Methinks it's a little too early to throw the going away party.

It isn't too early, it's impossible to get rid of Thomas. Donnie Walsh is the one who hired Thomas in the first place at Indiana. Both he and Dolan are real good friends of Isiah, so I doubt he's going to get chucked out anytime soon. If anything, they'll remove him from the GM position but keep him as coach for next year. If Isiah really was gone, he would had been removed a long time ago, either after the harassment verdict or after the Marbury plane debacle out west. | Kawshen

I've nothing to add except I'm not getting excited about Donnie Walnu... I mean, Walsh yet.

I'm really not totally sold on Walsh. He couldn't bail out Indiana after the brawl and handed out some pretty lousy contracts himself. How much of that was Larry Bird we may never know, but it seems like a good enough starting point for now.
It would be nice to see some defense added to the squad next year. I don't care what player it costs. I like Lee as a 6th or 7th guy, Crawford always sort of seems to try and Balkman is a nice 8th/9th guy off the bench for energy. I also like Nate Robinson at times.
As far as the young guys I haven't been able to stomach watching the tanking. Instead I've chosen to watch some of the great games being seen weekly on the way to the playoffs. Does that make me a bad person? | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
