This wrestling management sim rox0rs your sox0rs. It's incredibly complete. And you can have CRZ recap your matches! I only did it once, so the only CRZ-ism I saw was "WALKING"... I'm sure there are more. The Scott Keith recaps mentioned "2.9999" counts and had some Keith-esque random digressions, as well as match star ratings. Anyway. This game is awesome. Lick it up, baby, lick it up.

This game owns my world. I'm considering not going to my college graduation tomorrow so I can continue my Eddy vs. Undertaker feud for the title. Oh yeah...finally I have the chance to make Eddy the World Champion. I just wonder what would happen if this idea were expanded on by people with all the resources in the world, like the folks who do the Sims series. I'd love to be able to add more texture and things to feuds. But that's a minor quibble with a hell of a cool game. Get this, love this, be this.

I'm addicted to this game too. I am heading into Wrestlemania 2002 with Jericho as my champ (as a heel of course). I was setting up an RVD/Jericho main event, until RVD got injured. So, its up in the air right now. Benoit holds the IC Title (since November) and will be facing Rhyno at WM (he's my number 2 heel). My other big faces are Rock, Trips (though he will be leaving the company soon), RVD, Raven, Edge and Christian. Main heels are Kurt Angle, Lance Storm (who teams with Test and Regal), Austin, Steve Blackman, Bam Bam Bigelow and Dean Malenko. Other wrestlers in the company are Sting, Lesnar, Kamala, Sabu (just signed him), Scott Vick, the Haas Brothers, Eddy (face) and Goldust (just signed him too). Loads of fun for sure! Updates soon if anyone is interested.

Well, I was supposed to suggest some catchy phrases so "CRZ" could sound more like me and less like some long, boring play-by-play guy (HEY!) but the only PC I have is at work and as a result I didn't find the time to get it running over there when I got my beta.

I've been enjoying the game, it does get a bit tedious at times, but the good far outweighs the bad.

Anyone else think Charisma Carpenter should be filing a restraining order right about now? And if he was going to use a Mutant Enemy girl.. why the hell her? Give me Eliza Dushku, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Emma Caufield, or Alyson Hannigan over her ANYDAY.

But anyways.. lots of fun.

This game is the absolutely finest in time-fucking technology this planet has ever seen!

Where else can you have Rey "Bah Gahd!" Misterio Jr. feud with Trippa Aych for the WWE Undisputed Titles?

Where else can you have Eddy Guerrero, Chris Benoit, and Brock Lesnar form a stable... wait... never mind.

And oh yeah, there's been tons of good, clean family fun as Kanyon meets the stars week... after week... after week... until he met another Hollywood movie star... you heard of this Duane Johnson character? Me neither. How good can he be? I mean, who bettah den Kanyon, right?

Add Jamie Knoble, Jason Jett, and Nidia as some sort of mildly offensive redneck threesome of some sort, Hardcore Holly with a title belt that isn't smashed into pieces, and the First Church of McMahon, featuring Reverend D-Von, Deacon Bautista, and the newly-converted Cardinal Buh Buh, you CAN'T go wrong! Right? *nervous laugh*

Yes, Extreme Warfare is the greatest wrestling simulatior out this year from Adam Ryland in the HISTORY of wrestling simulators out this year from Adam Ryland!

It looks cool and all..
But I have one little problem.
How the hell do I actually run a show or book something?

from the guide:
Next Day: This will advance you by one day. If you have an event scheduled, you will be taken to the booking screen (see Section 7).

So I guess my problem is how or where do i schedule the events so that i get to book something?

When i go through the days it just passes monday or whatever day without anything happening..

Are you using the WWE? Or some other fed? If you are using another fed, make sure they have a TV deal. If not, that could be why you can't book anything.

If you are using the WWE, then I have no idea.

I had the same question when I started messing with it. First, make sure you go to Events and make an event for the end of the month (it should be July, so don't put it in January). Then go to Television and send out a promo tape to a network. During the first month, you're basically hiring your workers and your crew, setting up your first feuds and making sure your finances are in order. At the end of the month, you run your first show. It's kind of annoying to have to go through the first month like that, but what are ya gonna do, right?

After that, you should get a TV deal. Well, I really don't know how this works - I was using NWATNA, so I got a deal with UPN for a weekly show, it might not work the same for the smaller to backyard level promotions and you might have to send out a new promo tape every month (I hope this happens with the XWF, for realism). But now I have a show to run every week and a PPV at the end of the month.

I screwed up a bit by trying to find a good Hall feud and ending his lousy feuds off camera before the first show, so his morale dropped through the floor and he keeps e-mailing me about how I'm ruining his career. Oh, Hall! And AJ Styles thinks I'm pushing him too much and the fans will resent him. The Rey Misterio (the WWE cut him) vs. Chris Candido feud over the X Title is going well, though, complete with a masked man attacking Candido only to remove one mask to reveal the Rey Jr. mask underneath. Now that's psychology!

Pretty neat program so far, I'm still pretty early in so there's probably a lot to get a hang of in the game.

Some guys just are too tough to work with. Hall is hell, don't even bother with him. And if you bring in Goldberg to try to put lower carders over him... that ain't gonna happen.

I wanted to feud Austin with Raven -- imagine the promos, with Raven tying Austin into mental knots -- but Stevie feels like Scotty isn't in his league! WHY AUSTIN WHY?? So instead on RAW, I'm running a lame Austin-Undertaker program that the fans are eating up for whatever reason, as well as a semi-invasion angle involving the Vince-affiliated nWo (minus Big Show) vs. Steiner, Goldberg, and Bret Hart. I should release Flair because he serves no purpose with Bret there, but I don't have the heart to. Meanwhile, Smackdown is centered on a Rock-Eddy Guerrero feud and building a face turn for Jericho.

I must have released at least 50 WWE wrestlers, and signed maybe 10 or so new ones. I also released most of the staff because there were better people available as free agents. The funny thing is that I still feel like I can't find room to use everyone, and that I could release more people. I think it might make my image go down if I cut down to the bone, though, even though I could easily put on good shows with only a couple dozen wrestlers.

I agree with the Eliza Dushku sentiment btw.

Well, I couldn't bear to start as WWE... it would be too complicated for me just learning the ropes.

Still, I had this sweet three way for the Cruiserweight title (as PWI) with Juvi Guerrera, TAKA Michinoku and Rey Mysterio Jr.... until the WWE stole Juvi from me. Bastards!

Oh well, feud Rey and TAKA for the title with a ladder match to kick of the feud and semi main my first (large) event. I figure the fans should eat THIS up.

TAKA gets an eye injury and is out three months. DAMN! Guess I shouldn't have ended that ladder match with a sick bump.

The best part though, is when guys who have an over score of 10 and are slotted as jobbers say "I'm not losing that match. I should win that match, this guy isn't in my league." YOU'RE A DAMN JOBBER!
All in all, AWESOME. I do prefer Scott Keith's recaps solely because of the star ratings though... CRZ's guy just doesn't really say anything. I should point out that preferring to read Keith and CRZ not saying anything are TOTAL opposites of real life.

Yay..got it to work.
Had to change the language/country configuration though.

Now I see why the split makes sense. I have this cool Edge vs Eddie feud going, yet after 6-8 shows have totally forgotten I have a WWE champion *grin*
And Chris Jericho vs Kevin Nash is a hot feud as well but Rock, Angle, Austin, Triple H have yet to see in ring action.

Hmm..think I will split the rosters this afternoon..

I've only got 30 people on my roster, I can't afford to split them.

I also have two TV shows now... I guess it's interviews and angles for a while!
Oh yeah, and I got bought by Eric Bischoff... NOOOOOOOOOO!

How do you split the roster? Do you "just pretend" or is there a way to actually split the rosters?

Another question, how do you have a masked man do a run in? I haven't seen that...

Leech: Just pretend about the split. I'm not aware of any way to have "unknown" wrestlers do things. That's a good suggestion to bring up on their message boards. The game's creator promises to regularly update incorporating peoples' suggestions.

I'm working my own mid-level production right now. Not the biggest thing out there (70% production value) but we get the job done. Got TV running Tuesday and Thursday on USA and TNN. Also, after making money over the few half-year, I was able to splurge and acquire Kevin Nash and Vader.

Vader and Big Show are having a massive fight over the National Title. Meanwhile, tag team wars are springing up. Headbanger Mosh convinced CW Anderson to loosen up and create the New Headbangers. Also, Kronik and the APA seems to be feuding forever over the Tag Belts, but may have trouble soon with New Jack and K-Kwik (who have become a lot tougher and more popular to boot.)

Elsewhere, Curt Henning is announcing AND fighting up a storm against the big faces like Rikishi and Masato Tanaka. Rumor is that he may be next in line for the title, but has morale problems that may keep him down if not careful.

The Sandman and Randy Orton hit the injury bug but should be back soon.

That pretty much covers my situation as my fed closes out 2001.

Shane, have you had any attitude problems? Some of those guys (Nash, Hennig, New Jack) sound like they could be trouble. As I recall, New Jack's stats are awesome, so if the attitude is not a worry, he would be tremendous.

When Rey Mysterio ran in to attack Billy Kidman it did say he was masked, and I don't think it mentioned his name.
But the next time they met it was obvious they were feuding and stuff and no mention of a mask.

As for the split, I just make two rosters myself and try to keep to them..

That damned Trish Stratus..refusing to have a feud with Ivory..to the dawghouse with her!
