I was tempted to do my post in all caps, because that's the way the movie is. EXPLOSIONS! BLOOD! GUNS! This movie was awesome. Rambo may be getting old but this movie proved he could still bring it. Don't see it if you hate Stallone or hate people being liquified by machine guns. This is seriously the best action movie I've seen in about 8 years. The theatre applauded and cheered at the end for the first time I can remember since Return of the King.

Go see it!

I saw it tonite. First off, to the white trash redneck in front of me with his Six and Eight year old daughters, I hope Child Protective Services pays you a visit.

WOW! Blown away! Stallone was smart to let the story tell itself with very minimal dialog on his part.

The kill scenes, good lord, the kill scenes! Not another movie that I can think of had as many people getting mowed down in a brutal manner.

LOVED the BIG bomb blast visual. Totally unexpected.

Not much of a PLOT, but hey, what it lacks in plot, it more than made up for in action.

The final scene at the farm, sorta makes you wonder what happens when he knocks on the door.

Saw this friday night and was surprised that it was more fun than I thought it would be. Theater was packed, mostly with the age-group you'd expect to be watching a mindless violence movie. Yes the plot is short, but the movie itself is very entertaining.

The violence *is* over the top compared to your average movie, but I felt was more realistic than the normal war scenes to see in movies where a person gets hits a mine, and almost looks to be jumping away from the explosion rather than *being* the explosion. Hard to watch at some points when you see what the army does to the villagers, but serves a purpose I believe.

The showing I was at didn't have a single female in the theater and most of the audience looked to be in thier 30s. I should also add that it was a pretty packed house too.

This and ROCKY BALBOA last year shows that Stallone really deserves more work then he's getting in Hollywood and its sad that he doesn't. As a writer, he crafted the film pretty well without any wasted moments. Every character is there for a reason.

The battle scenes were on par with what Speilberg did in the first ten minutes of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. I lost count of the dead bodies at around 150 but some guy in the LA Times says there were well over 200. Him ripping the guys throat out with his bare hands would make Eli Roth blush.

I fear a RAMBO 2 would just end up a remake of FIRST BLOOD, but I left the theater thinking what was gonna happen with his family reunion as well. You can't have a RAMBO film without him killing a few dozen people, you know.

Saw it this weekend, but I didn't enjoy it so much as an action film. I've probably been spoiled by Jason Bourne and his exploits, but I've just come to expect more from a good action movie.

However, with all the over-the-top explosions, the bad Stallone acting (for as minimal as there was), and just some of the situations that led to explosions, this was WAY high on the unintentional comedy scale. And thus, I enjoyed myself.

Hell, it's a better comedy than "Meet the Spartans".

Thumbs up from me.
