| #1 Posted on 19.11.07 1947.23 Reposted on: 19.11.14 1947.28 | Wow...what a race yesterday at the Homestead-Miami track. Matt Kenseth was brilliant in his driving; he led the pack for a good majority of the race. In fact, his last pit stop was a remarkable 12.5 seconds. If he keeps this up next year, I think he could be a serious contender.
The day, however, belonged to Jimmie Johnson. It was quite funny, however, hearing the commentators explaining how Jimmie could lose his championship. Jimmie really didn't TRY - he was basically coasting in between 2nd and 6th. His best friend and rival finished, what? 6th? Something like that.
Interesting news: Jimmie and Jeff have the same crew when it comes down to preparations before races. Is it just me or is that kind of unfair? Oh well.
Next year, the Nextel Cup becomes the Sprint Cup. The Busch series becomes the Nationwide Series. Dale Jr. adds an 8 and joins Hendrick. Joe Gibbs Racing becomes an all Toyota team.

No, Jeremy Mayfield had partial sponsorship in the 19. I think Casey Atwood after that
