It was only about 30 seconds shy of becoming the longest game in Stanley Cup Finals history.
What really made this game so great though was that the refs actually let the guys play.
This was the best hockey game I have seen since Detroit beat St. Louis 1-0 in 3OT in 1996.

I woke up at about 12:30, turned in the local ESPN station to see if I could find out who won the fight and was shocked (SHOCKED!) to hear that the game was still on.
Here's my question.

Reposted on: 9.6.09 1222.39 | Yep, made work a little more enjoyable there for a while. I caught all of the overtimes, none of regulation. Classic stuff, too bad the Red Wings won, but the Hurricanes have proven they're definitely not overmatched. Gotta win game 4 though.
