It was only about 30 seconds shy of becoming the longest game in Stanley Cup Finals history.
What really made this game so great though was that the refs actually let the guys play.
This was the best hockey game I have seen since Detroit beat St. Louis 1-0 in 3OT in 1996.

| #5 Posted on 9.6.02 0943.13 Reposted on: 9.6.09 0944.00 | I woke up at about 12:30, turned in the local ESPN station to see if I could find out who won the fight and was shocked (SHOCKED!) to hear that the game was still on.
Here's my question.
Did the game stay on ABC or did they switch it over to ESPN? | TheBucsFan

Classic stuff, too bad the Red Wings won, but the Hurricanes have proven they're definitely not overmatched. Gotta win game 4 though.
Oh, and as for Tyson, screw em, I don't like either of those guys anyway. Heavyweight boxing is awful right now. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
