"The Game" Triple H, who is set to return to the WWE at Summerslam to face King Booker after recovering from his most recent quad injury, is being considered for a part or in fact the lead in the upcoming movie based on the Marvel Comics character Thor. In fact, executives at Marvel are actually pushing for HHH to be signed to the picture. However, the director Matthew Vaughn is apparently against the idea of "The Game" as Thor and is looking to try and land Kevin McKidd, who is on the HBO series Rome, to the role.
I'm waiting for a more reliable source to pick up on this story, but I think the thought is intriguing, if nothing else. Triple H has the look and physique, but I think he'd be very out of place trying out his Norse-speak.

I'm not sure that McKidd guy has the "look" that HHH does, but if it's a lead role? I wouldn't want H headlining my directorial debut either. I'd be okay with Trips if it was an Avengers movie, and Thor's scenes were limited, but not for a Thor film.
That said, as a member of the IWC in good-standing, I support anything that will keep Hunter away from the ring, and wish him double Rock's success with a movie career I can ignore.
"The scuttlebutt is that Marvel and Paramount are rushing to get Thor, scripted by Mark Protosevich, into production before the anticipated writers' strike happens."

I thought HHH wanted to play Conan if they ever did a revival of that, as he was always a fan. hence, the hilarious get up at WM 22. That I could see more, with short lines of dialogue and grunts, as opposed to the Norse-speak, which might end up being unintentionally hilarious. Oh well, Thor is just a rumor at this point anyway.
