Sirius NFL Radio is reporting that Bill Walsh has passed. He had been battling Leukemia.

One of the all time great NFL coaches, while he may get more credit than he deserves for the West-Coast offense, he did refine that system and bring it to a level never before seen in the NFL.

Arguably the greatest coach to ever walk the sidelines. RIP.

Not just one of the best coaches, but one of the classier guys in the history of the league. He could have named his price at about 90% of the teams in the NFL when he was stepping down in San Fran but didnt.

RIP Mr Walsh.

Man, back in the day I loved the 'Hawks and the 'Niners. Loved the way in which he handled himself on and off the field. Do not forget that he is the man who cranked out the fraternity of coaches that have all been successful.
