Ok my thoughts:
Black? Where in the bloody hell did the red go?
Where's the bandana that was always on her head? It's around her neck.
The costume looks a little S&Mish but hey,It's Jennifer Garner in black leather,So i'm not gonna complain too much.

It's on Daredevil. You've got to think in Hollywood terms -- you can't have BOTH your leads wearing the same color. It would get confusing. Plus, Elektra has been known to wear black.

Do you realize how stupid and un-attractive that would look on Jennifer Garner? She would look ridiculous. It's also incredibly impractical from the standpoint that she's an assassin. I would think, by now, with all the "real life" changes in comics films, you'd be used to the fact that not all superhero costumes are going to be "verbatim" changes.

You can thank the designers on X-Men (Another film where the entire cast didn't wear direct interpretations of their four-color counterparts) and the Matrix for this and Daredevil's leather outfit as well. | ICEMAN

Uh, no! As if, sistah!
Sorry...just saw Undercover Brother.
The Batman costume (1989) for the movie was in actuality the costume used in the comics. Utility belt, cape, cowl, yellow circle around classic symbol. The works. No nipples, no changes. The only Spider-Man change was the raised silver webbing on the costume. That's it. | Papercuts!

As someone who's read comics for almost 20 years, I can safely say Batman's costume, circa 1989, was BLUE and GRAY. It was NOT all-black as depicted in the film. Even the bat-symbol in the film was marketedly different than the comic book version. Plus, Batman's costume in the comics is made of CLOTH and not RUBBER. | PalpatineW

i'll concede the batman, for some reason i was thinking the movie batman had the old blue/grey...
but spidy's costume wasn't altered as much as say...wolvie, or cyclops (blue w/ yellow undies and visor)
the only difference i noticed was the black webbing on the costume was raised a little, i think | Stephanie

Technically, it wasn't. The costume was designed and altered to make Adam West look ridiculous. They put the utlity belt up ABOVE his waist and increased the size and they shrunk the size of the oval (both of these combined gave West a rather oafish, potbellied look, when in actuality, he was pretty cut and muscular). Also the cowl was modified with shorter ears.
Originally posted by rikidozan the only difference i noticed was the black webbing on the costume was raised a little, i think
Not only was it raised, but it was also silver. The general shape of his eyes on the mask were altered, and he didn't have any wrist mounted webshooters.
I realize these are all minor changes on the Spider-Man costume, but nonetheless they are changes. | dunkndollaz

| #15 Posted on 5.6.02 0931.34 Reposted on: 5.6.09 0932.59 | I'd say that the TV suit was a different shade of blue than they were using in the comics, but I'm not 100 % sure of that. Most of my Silver Age Batman books are post-TV show and the ones before and during I have I didn't get for the Batman stories (ie the J'onn J'onzz stories in Detective).
I'd take more issue with the designs of the villains in most film/tv versions than the heroes.

You can't fault a man for discussing superhero costumes in a thread about... superhero costumes.
